You and Guide continue on through the woods. A giggle
comes from a bush slightly behind you, making you jump nervously. "Sunseeker,
don't even think about it!" Guide shouts into the bushes, laughing a bit.
You hear another giggle, this one is off to the side.
"Sun!" Says Guide warningly as he spins to face the source of the laugh.
Yet another giggle is heard, coming once again from behind you. Guide whips around,
but he isn't fast enough. A small, light-colored blur tackles him.
"Ha!
Gotcha again! " Says the small tan creature that's grinning at both yourself
and Guide. It appears to be canine in nature. "My name is SunSeeker, and I'm
a Kartyn'dyryso!" It cheerfully
introduces it's self to you.
"Yeah you got me." Guide grumbles, sounding annoyed. " Why don't you
find someone else to pounce?" The blue fox really isn't as irritated as he sounds,
and it shows towards the end of that remark.
SunSeeker stares up at you, as if trying to decide if you're too large to tackle.
You blink at Guide, more then a little surprised that something that small was thinking
of trying to pounce you.
Guide shrugs at you looking faintly amused. "Don't bother Sun. You do want the
Wanderer to come back, don't you?"
SunSeeker seems to ponder this for a moment, balancing the fun of pouncing you once
with the joy of having you come back several times. Eventually she decides having
you come back would be more fun, and grins. " Oh well, I can take you to the
others!"
She walks over to a large tree and shouts into the
hollow trunk. "CLOUDRACER! EARTHCHARM! GET OUT HERE WE HAVE COMPANY!!"
Her shout echoes up the tree. You watch as two deafened figures come out.
"Whatcha
do that for?" Asks a gray female as she tumbles about, trying to shake the echo
out of her head. She blinks her green eyes, studying you curiously.
"Do
you want two deaf best friends?" Asks a equally deafened brown female.
SunSeeker ears flick back in embarrassment. "Sorry." She apologizes. "I
keep forgetting how much that thing echoes. But there's a wanderer here! You wouldn't
want to miss them would you?"
The silver one shakes her head, rolling her eyes. Evidently she was used to these
type of incidents. "I guess not.." She answers, sounding unsure as she
peers up at you.
SunSeeker introduces them both," These are my best friends CloudRacer and EarthCharm.
Can you tell which is which?"
You look over the two. Assuming that their names matched their coloring, it wasn't
too hard to guess. "The gray one is CloudRacer and EarthCharm is the brown one?"
SunSeeker grins happily, delighted that you got it right. "Yep!" The other
two 'dyryso nod silently.
Then you notice a small red spot in the bushes. You blink and
take a closer look, but it has disappeared. Guide, Sunseeker, CloudRacer and EarthCharm
start a conversation, but you are distracted by the redish presence.
SunSeeker calls out. "Hey Mom! Come out and visit!
They're nice, really!" A slightly larger redish 'Dyryso is seen, trying to hide
from your view. "They're not going to hurt you mother..." Continues SunSeeker
sounding a bit hurt. The red 'Dyryso, Firelover, disappears from sight. Sunseeker
turns to you with a sigh,"We should probably go find her..." Then SunSeeker
and CloudRacer disappear into the underbrush.
"I think it's best to go...." Says EarthCharm quietly, before moving to
join her friends in the underbrush.
As you walk away you can't help asking Guide,"Did
I do something wrong?"
The blue fox shakes his head, "FireLover has been shy ever since she got here.
She's never really gotten over it..."
You continue up the path and away from the Four Kartyn'dyryso.....
