Terraflyer pads along the path ahead of you, playing
the part of guide. Your official escort has fallen silent and is smirking to himself.
You're not quite sure what he finds so amusing, maybe the sight of the winged Kartyn'dyryso male acting in his position..
Terraflyer soon stops, pausing in the middle of the path. It takes you
a moment to realize that the winged male has halted and is listening intently.
Before anything is said, you're tackled from behind, something hooking
over your shoulders. You're about ready to freak out, until you realize that Guide
and Terraflyer look faintly miffed rather then frightened. Stalling your urge to
panic you look down and see a pair of pale orange paws hooked over your shoulders.
With a blink you glance at Terra, waiting for a introduction or something. The winged
male rolls his eyes. "Wanderer, meet Ambersneaker."
You try and glance over your shoulder. "Er... Nice to meet you." Is about
the only thing you can think of to say.
"A pleasure." Says Ambersneaker, dropping
easily to the ground. He pads around you to the front, plopping himself into a seating
position once he's in front of you. Then the brown-orange K'd gives a toothy grin.
"My apologies, Wanderer, If Amber has scared you." Terra apologies. "I'm
afraid the mischief streak from his kithood hasn't really disappeared."
"No problem." You say, waving away the apology.
Another K'd pads into the clearing, then plops itself down to groom, completely ignoring
your presence. It's mostly white, with the short ears of a doe. Her tail his sort
and poofy, her paws tipped in pale green. There's also leather wraps around her rear
paws. Halfway through she glances up at you, tilting her head before introducing
herself. "I'm Truelight." She says simply before returning to her task.
The males chuckle once again. "Truelight's a full healer, the only K'd healer
in realm." Terraflyer explains. "She can even grow medical related plants."
You notice that the white female seems faintly embarassed by all the talk about her
and make an effort to change the subject.
Soon after another K'd enters the clearing with a giggle. She sneaks up
on Amber, already settling into a pouncing position. This doe is mostly white, with
a stripe of orange across her back and green eyes.
"I know you're there." The orange male states without turning or even moving.
The answer is a giggle, and the little female pounces the larger male anyway. "Oh
well!" She says with a grin from her perch on Amber's stomach. The male rolls
his eyes, but you get the feeling he's not all that upset.
"Would you mind getting off me?" He asks mildly, a slight smile flashing
across his features. Then he looks over to you to introduce the pouncer. "This
is Markedcard."
The female simply grins in your general direction as she's introduced. She's conceded
to the male's request and bounded from his stomach, and is now seated on the ground.
Suddenly another K'd makes an appearance,
this one poking his black head out from a large hole situated between the roots of
a tree. The male blinks sleepily, then yawns. It's fairly obvious what he'd been
doing for the past little while, napping. "I'm Stormcaller.." He introduces
himself, not sounding entirely awake. "And I think I'm going back to my nap.."
Markedcard giggles, "They shoulda named him Stormsleeper instead! That buck
could sleep through everything up to and including a thunder storm!"
This comment earns an amused smirk-smile from Ambersneaker, however the orange male
does add to the doe's comment. "Yes, but when he is awake he does deserve the
name. Stormcaller's got quite a set of lungs on him.." He chuckles slightly.
After chatting with the little group for awhile Guide starts to become somewhat antsy.
It's time to move on...
