You continue your hike through the Raveen territory with your guide, fox like creature by the name of Guide. "So, are you going to give me any hints at all about where we're headed next?" You inquire of the blue fox. "I mean, being scared out of my wits, abused, threatened and hung in a net trap is getting a bit old.. Bad puns, however, are perfectly fine. They don't involve me getting hurt. "

Guide chuckles, " No, I don't think you'll get mauled or pounced this time." We're going to visit Sepultura, and while she's of a darker element like Doruun and Onraa, she's simply strange rather then dangerous. Unless you randomly keel over on me I doubt she'll show much interest at all."

You blink, replaying that last statement in an attempt to decide if you heard correctly. "What do you mean?"

"She's really far more interested in the dead then the living, and really doesn't care at all about Wanderers like yourself, " Guide replies. He doesn't sound too bothered by this explanation, leaving you to wonder if he's gone completely insane, or if you're merely twitchy beyond belief. After all, something had to be wrong with a creature so interested in death.

"Riiiight.." Is about the only thing you can say in reply, and you resolve to wait until you actually meet this Kat before freaking out.

A short while later you enter a space that's really more of a gap in the trees then a clearing. Lounging off to one side is a brown raveeness with really strange ears. Faint markings in strange designs cover her body. The sight of the bloodstained bandages wrapped around her ribs, tail and rear leg is enough to make your eyes widen in surprise. You'd seen scars and such on the other Raveens, and the Disturbed Onraa'glike was one mismatched mass of frankenstien flesh, but this was the first sight for you of current injury on one of the species.

"Are you all right?" You ask, slightly concerned despite yourself.

The Raveeness blinks, eyeing you askance as if she's wondering if you're all right. "Why wouldn't I be?" She asks mildly, her whip thin tail twitching to wrap around her legs for a moment before starting into motion again.

"The..." You start, but the Raveeness cuts you off.

"Oh, the bandages?" She's finally realized what's bothering you. The raveeness doesn't seem the least concerned. " Not all of it is mine." Sepultura says before pausing to rip another piece off the oversized rodent carcass lying between her front paws.

Apparently you've disturbed her while she's having a meal. You're suddenly very glad that this Sepultura seems to be a mild sort. You don't even want to think about what might have happened had you interrupted one of the others during lunch. Then the specifics of what she said hits you. Not all of it belonged to her. That didn't mean all of the blood on those bandages belonged to others...

You decide to leave the topic well alone. It's best just not to ask.

Sepultura pauses in her meal to study the rodent before her for a moment before continuing. She doesn't seem too inclined towards speaking with you. It's almost as if she's forgotten that you and Guide are in the area. Either that or she couldn't care less if you're around or not.

"Um, so.." You're not willing to let the Raveeness entirely forget about you. After all, startling her after she's forgotten you're around could have decidedly unwelcome consequences.

She looks up, eyeing you as if to say ' you're still here?'. Then she rolls her eyes slightly before tersely introducing herself, " Sepultura, Burial type." A raise of eyebrows accompanies this, the unvoiced remark being ' Are you happy now that I've introduced myself?'. It's directed more at Guide then at you. Nothing else is said, she's returned to ignoring you and Guide.

When you continue standing there awkwardly she rolls her eyes exasperatedly, "What do I have to do to get rid of you? Move off and leave me to my meal and work, I have things to do." A glare leveled at you from silver-white eyes has you hurriedly leaving the area.

You'd been curious about the 'meal and work' comment, but certainly aren't stupid enough to stick around. Who knows what Sepultura might do if she's really irritated.

When you're confident you're far enough away you ask Guide what that was all about.

His reply is short and simple, "Long story, don't ask.. I don't think you really want to know what Sepultura and her daughter Taimu can do."

"Right." Once again, you decide that not asking is a good idea.
