Monty Python and the Holy Grail, starring John Cleese, et al. Based on Monty Python's Flying Circus television show.
The Holy Grail is definitely the funniest midieval movie out there. And its the best Monty Python film ever put together. I actually hadn't seen it until last summer, but all my college friends knew that there was none better, and they were right!
This movie is basically a collection of hilarious skits, all tied together in the quest for the Holy Grail. Follow Sir Gawaine the Chaste to the Castle Anthrax, which contains nothing but girls, "all between the ages of 16 and 19," who need to be spanked when they're bad. Or follow Sir Robin the Coward in his quest to avoid trouble. Or follow Sir Lancelot as he rescues the imprisoned young princess....er, prince, actually. Or King Arthur himself as he comes up against the Knights who say Ni and some very rude Frenchmen!
Monty Python and the Holy Grail is full of laughs from the credits at the beginning, all the way to the puzzling but hilarious ending. If you have a taste for British humor, get this movie today and you won't be sorry!
