Sometime in the future around 2091
The Federation of planets will just have then begun
And the Prime Directive will be the rule number one
And they'll start marching on!

It keeps marching on!
The first of our Captains is the Glorious Captain Kirk
He is dashing, bold, and brave and chases anything in a skirt
And the fact that he is Captain means he'll never be killed or hurt
He keeps marching on!
The next of our captains is good ole' Picard
He's the opposite of Kirk, but he's always on his guard
For the Borg and Q and all those things that make his life so hard
But he keeps marching on!
Next is number three and that is Benjamin Sisko
He was put on a station, yet he's always on the go
And he has a changeling officer who we all know as Odo
And they keep marching on!
We come to number four and that's Kathryn Janeway
She was on her first mission when her ship was blown away
Now they're in the Delta quadrant and they need to find a way
To get home and march on!
The Federation has spanned over one hundred years
And if the show is cancled we'll be reduced to tears
'Cause the show has "Trekked" along for over 30 some odd years
I hope they keep marching on!
