Age - The elves of SkyHaven are immortals like their ancient forefathers were. The oldest among them are around 11000 years old, but those rare individuals are few and far between since reaching that age is quite a task- even for a powerful Firstborn.

Appearance - Except for the few SkyHaveners who have been flesh-shaped, the elves of this pureblood tribe resemble the High Ones. The newer generations are perhaps a bit shorter and muscular, but the extremely distinct elfin appearance is still there.

Build: The SkyHaven elves are astonishingly slender, some weighing in at no heavier than the modern elves despite their great statue. Despite their slim bodies, the sky-dwellers are still well-toned, though the members of the Celestial Elite tend to be more well muscled than the others.

Complexion: Skin tone for these elves ranges is mainly a pure blue white, since hardly any ever venture farther outdoors than the balconies, although a pleasant tan is found among the Celestial Elite and those sky-dwellers interested in the outside world.

Eyes: These elves have eyes ranging in color from lupine blue to bright amber(and anything in between except red and pure white). The size and shape of their eyes range from elf to elf, but they are more or less large and beautiful.

Hair: The hair of the SkyHaven folk can be nearly any color except the extremely outlandish ones(purple, green, pink, bright blue). The rarer colors are the pure ones- true blue/black, pristine white, and liquid silver, being found primarily among the older elves (8000+), but they can be found in unique cases among the younger generations. The hairstyles of the sky-dwellers are creative and bring to mind thoughts of ethereality. Some wear their long hair completely unbound, allowing it to trail far behind them, but most add some decoration to their tresses through feathers or other ornaments.

Height: SkyHaven elves are among the tallest of the tribes, the older ones standing just as tall as their parents did. The elves of about 10000+ years can tower up to six feet eight inches, though on average they are about six foot one to six foot four. The slightest of the younger elves stand no shorter than 5’9".

Artifacts - Many in SkyHaven possess magical artifacts shaped from the material of the Palace. Perhaps the most well-known public artifact is the Throne of Master, shaped entirely from palace-crystal with magic so strong that augments the powers of those merely in it's presence. This is currently Midhei's seat. Other well-known artifacts are as follows:

Midhei's Crown: Midhei's crown is a five-pointed tiara shaped from platinum that has jewels of the palace crystal set into the apex of each. The central jewel has the spirit of Master Jylekk bound into it, but none except Midhei herself are aware of this. The other fours jewels may contain the spirits of other elves, but the crown's primary function is that of power augmentation.

Celestial Star: The Celestial Star is perhaps the best known symobl (and perhaps the main reason for the great demand for the position) of the Celestial Elite. The Celestial Star is seven-sided, representing the number of elves who are in the Celestial Elite. It is shaped from palace crystal, and is woven into the uniform of the Celestial Elite at the chest. It is used mainly to augment the floating powers of the individual.

Clothing - The SkyHaven elves dress for aesthetics, rather than function, and with their advanced methods and powers they can create true works of art. The clothing of the individual is meant to reflect the individual, and because of their nature much of the sky-dwellers clothing conjures images of ethereality.

Colors : Colors in the wardrobes of the SkyHaven elves spans the entire spectrum. Some prefer dark flat colors, while others like shimmering pastels. Whatever you might fancy is yours to have.

Materials : The materials that make up clothing in SkyHaven are usually extremely fine silks, velvets, linens, et cetera. The sky-dwellers occasionally receive leathers from a good hunting trip executed by the Celestial Elite, but those fine skins are few and far between.

Styles: The styles of clothing for SkyHaven elves usually involve some flowing length of material- from the elaborate gowns of the elder females to the richly patterned capes of the Celestial Elite. Some of the sky-dwellers wear tightly-fitted body-suits(a la Chosen Eight), while others wear layers of flowing robes. Any type of clothing is acceptable, although the Celestial Elite must wear a uniform.

Diet - The diet of the SkyHaven elves is largely composed of fruits and vegetables from the crystal-domed garden and meat hunted by the Celestial Elite. They receive their water from Fountain, the watershaping Sleeper who is so skilled that she is capable of conjuring water from thin air.

Habitat - The habitat of the sky-dwellers is really their great magical home and the air around it. SkyHaven is roughly four times the size of the original Palace of the High Ones, but despite it’s great mass and weight it is floated easily by the Sleepers. Occasionally SkyHaven is "parked" in one place, usually a particularly pleasant area in summer or spring. During Winter, most of the outermost portals of SkyHaven are shaped closed and large amounts of the palace are shaped into the alcove of Flame, the fire-starting Sleeper.

Inhabitants - The inhabitants of SkyHaven are many (around eighty, not counting Sleepers, or so) pure elves and six preservers.

Magic - Magic is common among the SkyHaveners due to their close proximity to the palace crystal. Their standard powers are Sending, Magic Sense, Levitation, and an innate ability to ‘feel’ the direction of SkyHaven, since the great magical palace is beginning to gain natural magical properties(similar to those of the great egg and those of the palace). Almost everyone can float, for it is a major strike against them if an elf is born without this magic. Practically every elf who wasn’t born with levitation and did not opt for Flesh-shaping has died from some tragic accident. The sky-dwellers can possess a great multitude of other magical powers, as well, and rock-shaping seems to be more common among them.

Names - The names of the sky-dwellers are flowing and elfin. All of the SkyHaveners have pure elf names like Fehsu, Deva, Midhei, Solren, et cetera. Nothing that conjures images of the Wolfriders is available.

Positions - Positions in SkyHaven mainly concern the magical arts. There is a master Healer, a master Rockshaper, a master Metalshaper, a master Treeshaper, et cetera. Also such things as chefs, seamstresses, gardeners, and the mistress’ attendants are available. Another position of note are the Celestial Elite. The Celestial Elite are a band of seven elves who hunt and scout the land for SkyHaven. They must go through rigorous training to join the Elite, and much emphasis is placed on their floating magic. The supreme position is possessed by the lord of SkyHaven, and that lord is currently Midhei.

Sleepers - The Sleepers of SkyHaven are catatonic High Ones who use their powers to serve SkyHaven. The main type of Sleeper is a "Floater." Their are currently twelve floaters, and their main purpose is to levitate SkyHaven and move it about. Their powers are augmented by specialized ‘helmets’ shaped from the palace-crystal that they wear, and are then combined to form a ‘net’ of floating magic that surrounds SkyHaven. The other Sleepers are as follows:

Flame: Flame is a male High One Sleeper who controls the fires of SkyHaven. He regulates the temperature in winter and when asked by the chefs starts fires for them. He has red hair, although not many remember his eye-color because they are closed. He is the lifemate of Fountain.

Fountain: Fountain is a female High One Sleeper who generates the water for SkyHaven. She is extremely powerful and skilled- she needs to be to run the many fountains of the gardens and all of the other’s private baths from her lone alcove. She has dark, blue/black hair and aqua-grey eyes. She is the lifemate of Flame.
