In the late 1950’s I was deer hunting with a group of of my buddies Mechanicsville, N.Y. when I happened too meet a fellow, who was an engineer during during his professional life and an airplane pilot. He as also a Licensed bobsled driver in his leisure time. The conversation that we had peeked my curiosity, so I made it known that I would like to try bobsledding, although he made no mention that he would help me get started.

Later that same year, around Christmas time, I received a call from this gentleman stating that he would be in Lake Placid the next morning at 10 a.m. He also stated that he needed a brakeman and would be willing to teach me. I met the man...
