I've always found the relationship between MulderMom and CSM to be far more fascinating than the one between Mulder and Scully. Perhaps this is because we've seen so little of it, leaving the whole thing up for interpretation. The show itself has provided only questions. As I underwent the process of answering some of them, I kept coming up with more questions of my own. What exactly transpired between Teena and Cancerman? [It probably didn't involve water skiing.] Does it still continue to haunt them? [Absolutely!] Were they always this cold and bitter? [No, they were once young and innocent...really!] What changed them and made them the way they are today? [Go read the stories!]
I've never been that much of a fan of Teena Mulder, but I developed a peculiar sympathy for her as I was writing the series. I see her as CSM's last real link to humanity.
