I packed up the kids and took them to the park today- Very warm and a bit windy. There were lots of people there but not many my kids age and they were bored! They are inside kids and want to play on the XBox or the computer. But Bruce and I had a good time sitting on a blanket. We left and stopped to see Chantz on the way home but he was being a jackass.
Austin is really tired from his new meds- Stratera- and we will have to give it at night for a while. It should improve his concentration. Tessa's room has steadily gotten messier today and she was supposed to be cleaning it! Finally I told her if it wasn't cleaned that I was going to box up all the toys laying around. I have done that before. Nothing seems to work long term. She makes a big mess when she plays- I tell her to play small and not scatter her toys all over- especially since some are very small and Bruce will be crawling in a few months. She seems to think he won't be allowed in their room though I keep telling her like hell he won't. She is being a pain.
I took the garbage out- it was in a forceflex bag and the darn thing leaked all over the aptartment steps and floor- all carpeted of course. So I had to clean that up. Bruce insists on regurgitating everytime he eats. Argh more laundry. Speaking of laundry- my neighbor decided to do laundry when I was and took my stuff out of the dryer and washer. Nice- huh?
This day just sucks. I didn't read much and I really want to get through this book. It is a new one by David and Leigh Eddings- The Treasured One. The sandals I bought the kids don't fit them and that means a trip back to Wal-Mart. Oh and the internet kept disconecting today. Hello Bresnan- I have a broadband telephone service!!!
I made a gold text picture tube- actually losts of them- but this is all you're getting today. Consider it my gift to you. A link back would be nice but is not necessary. Please do not redistribute anything you find on this site- ok?
P.S. I am closing down Distinctive Design. I just feel like it. :(
My weight went up to 173 but I am down to 169. Yay for dieting. I would like to go for a walk today- but when wind is combined with a dry climate- the environment is not very hospitable! It's really too bad because it is very sunny outside.
Bruce isn't feeling well this morning. He is currently trying to suck his thumb- sometimes both- but he is getting pretty upset. He kept me up last night; his body was hot and he was crabby. The tylonal must have worked its magic though- becaus he finally fell asleep!
I started homeschooling Austin this week and he did very well. We are using a Charlotte Mason style of homeschooling that I found at
Ambleside Online, a totaly free curricullum! Many of the books are provided on the web or can be borrowed from the library. I picked up math and phonics books at Hastings and those work very well. What I like is that I can choose what is appropriate for him. If I don't like something- I just don't use it. The site often offers its own alternatives as well and each year has a book list and a weekly schedule of what to teach- plus many more helpful tools.
And as always here is something I have created. Consider it a
free gift. :)
I am a member of E-diets. There are tons of support groups and forums and videos and articles to use. I am 170 and would like to be between 130-140. The 1st 6lbs came right off and then I hit a plateau and of course got depressed and fell off the wagon.
I am back on and hope to continue to lose weight. I'll keep you posted!
Here is a little something I made from a tutorial over at

Dragon in Flight.
And here is something I made for fun using
brushes and layers in
PSP7:
Pinup.
So here is what I did now: Friday night I forgot to pick Chantz up from work because I forgot that I had the car. No big deal right? Except that I did it Saturday night too! And the kicker is that I didn't even realize it until this morning! He walked home Saturday night and didn't say a thing until today.
God I'm dumb.
Here is a little something I made from a tutorial over at

Welcome to my hell.
That's where I told the principal to go- and I was restraining myself. Trust me I had something else in mind. But we won't go there.
I got into it with Austin's new principal. Wyoming has very strict rules about truancy. After 2 unexcused absences the youth officer actually files a report with Juvenal court. And the school deems what is unexcused. For Austin to be late or miss a day of school he has to have a doctor's note.
They neglected to tell us this. I got my butt chewed by the principal, who decided to talk to me like a child being scolded and not like an adult. Using restraint I told her where to go. That is not what I wanted to say. She called the cops. The officer came to the house to take Austin to school himself even though I said I would bring him when I was through feeding Bruce. Argh. I hate public school.
Austin went with out incident and had a good day. He only goes for 2 hours and I was told if he can't make it in the morning that he can't come. Then she tells me he can stay later... blah blah blah.
Chantz is done with school in 6 weeks and we are out of here! No more small towns for us!
We are trying
vonage. It is pretty cool and so inexpensive; i really can't see why anyone would use traditional phone companies again- unless of course you don't have a broadband connection.
I am going to add some new catagories to the site: tutorials and digital projects.
