Description:
Utu is also known as the god of sages and seekers of knowledge. Because he sees all, his worshippers try to learn as much as possible. His temples are as much library as place of worship. Followers tithe both money and books, and also work at scribing and copying books instead of money.
His clerics gain the powers of read languages. The clerics are divided into two sects, those who try to become experts in one field, and those who try to amass a bit of knowledge about everything. There is little under the sun that the followers of Utu do not know about.
Holy days are marked by public readings of histories, and clerics always serve time in schools teaching the young. To be accepted into the schools of Utu is a high honor, and only availble to the very intelligent and wise. Many a mage worships Utu as part of the quest for knowledge.
Clerics of Utu and Itersrof often work together, and also argue the Wisdom of releasing dangerous knowledge upon the world.
