From the diary of Megan:

Shortly after school let out for the summer, was when I faced what might be my greatest hurdle. On the second Saturday of June,a special letter from my uncle in England arrived, some of the news he had for me,didn't feel right to either me or my aunt. My uncle was willing to allow me to stay with him for the entire summer, because of the fact that my brother and sister were hoping that we could be reunited sooner than the anticipated date. At first,my aunt decided that the matter was not possible, about two weeks later,Aunt Constance had a change of heart, and said that I could do what was being asked of me.

I was nearly beside myself with joy, when I had finished thanking her,I settled into the task of packing what I would be taking on the vacation. Before that happened though,I had to make sure that my uncle knew I would be coming, which only consisted of writing a letter in response to the one he sent. 1
