When I emerged from my host to join my brethren, I already knew my sole purposes in life. To
serve my Queen and protect my Hive. My brethren led me away from the now deceased human who
aided me through the final stages of my creation to the feeding room where the rest of the young
were stationed. It was here where we ate, grew, and became our full selves. It was here where
I was witness to the activities of the hive. The older, wiser ones of my kind were busy
accumulating new hosts for our Queen's eggs. To further increase the population of the hive was
our Queen's only goal, her only concern next to the welfare of her eggs. We were her servants,
she our master. When I was ready, I was lead to the birthing chamber. My first duties to the
queen was to allow her eggs to open beneath a suitable host, and for her glorious face huggers
to emplant yet another one of us into the unsuspecting host. I am not aware of the place we were,
where the hive was established, but humans were plentiful. Time after time I made my way into the
Queen's royal chamber to retreive eggs for the hosts. To serve my Queen was a glory all unto
itself. To see the hive blossom was most precious indeed. I served my Queen, served her well.
It was a rare treat to see a group of humans make their way into our hive. We had seen this
before, but not in such groups. Many new hosts for her young, our Queen was thrilled. While the
humans were making there way deeper to our hive, one of our young made it's glorious birth into
our society. Seeking our food, it motioned towards the humans. As with most of our young, the
need to eat, grow, and serve our Queen is overpowering. Calling to us, the young one continued
it's struggle for freedom when one of the humans ignited the odd object in which it carried
and engulfed the young in flames. Writhing in agony the young one died, and our Queen called to
us. Furious with the events that had just transpired, she ordered us to attack the humans who
were invading our hive. With silence and stealth that only we are capable of, we proceeded to
attack the humans, claiming those we could for hosts, and killing the rest to be used as food.
The battle went on, with the humans yelling at one another and trying to flee. We thought that
it was to be a glorious outcome with many new hosts available when a large crash was heard near
the entrance of the hive. The humans, with objects capable of ripping through us, attempted to
flee towards the crash. The few of our kind who were ordered to guard the entrance were quick
to intercept those most dangerous, but the humans powerful objects were too much for them to
handle alone. The humans managed to escape, but they had suffered much. Very few escaped us at
that time. Those who were captured and survived were immeditaly cocooned for our majesty's eggs.
Our Queen then ordered us to find where the humans were located so we may seek revenge on them for
our losses. I was ordered to search beyond the hive and the structure the hive was located in.
It was outside where I first sensed the two humans who would later become my prey. I made my way
into the odd structure they were around, and waited among the roof. One human spoke to the other,
and the other made it's way inside the structure. The entrance was closing, and feeling trapped
I proceeded to do my master's bidding and killed him. It was then that the structure became to
move. Sensing the danger I made my way towards the second human, and after a pitiful attempt
to attack me I plunged my secondary jaws into her skull. I broke through the clear wall in
front of me and leaped to safety before the odd structure crashed on the surface. I had intended
to proceed with my search but my Queen summoned me to return to the hive and return to my duties.
The humans we captured were ready to be emplanted, and I assisted in the deployment of the eggs.
Then I waited for the birthing cycle to complete, as I had many times before. Later, our Queen
had summoned myself and a few select others to her royal chamber. It was then that I had my
first oppurtunity face my beloved Queen up close. How beautiful she was, in all her power and
glory. She instructed our group to hunt the humans now instead of searching for them. They had
been discovered many levels above the hive, in the place where hosts were once plentiful. We
made our way above and towards the humans when we sensed movement from beneath us. Several of my
brethren crashed throughthe flooring and attacked the small band of humans who were located there.
Sounds of battle filled the chamber, with the humans strange objects tearing through more of my
kind, but they fought hard. I decided to make my way further along so that I would be able to
attack my enemies from behind. I was nearly ready to attack when I sensed a lone human running
towards my area. I made my way down to the room below and proceeded towards the unsuspecting
human and waited. An opportunity like this could not be overlooked. Away from the battle I
could ensure that this human would become a host. There I waited until the human came to me. As
he appeared I felt the fear coming from him, and struck him in a way that would demobilize him,
but not kill him. With my new prize I made my back towards the hive, and handed the human to
another sentry who the took him to the birthing chambers. I made my way back towards the battle
only to learn that it was over, and a small group of humans were trying to flee. My brethren
chased them through the metal labyrinth, but were met with death as two of the humans took their
own lives and the lives of my kind. Now below them, I followed in hopes of catching them for
hosts as well. Below them I was, but they were still far from me. I now sensed that one of them
was directly in front of me roaming through the water. I made my way to the human beneath the
water, and stood behind it. The human shreiked with fear, but I silenced it and brought it back
to my Queen. I could sense that more of my kind were chasing the remaining humans. When I
returned to my hive, I presented the human to my Queen. Pleased with my efforts, she assigned me
to be one of her royal guards. The highest honour our kind can receive, her life was now in my
hands. The human was taken from me and was cocooned in the birthing chamber, and I took my place
beside my Queen. I was witness to her power as she laid egg after egg after egg. We were then
startled to find out that another human had not only made it's way into the hive a second time,
but had made it's way into the Queen's chamber. There the human stood, with the younger human I
had captured in her arms. I attempted to attack the invaders, but my Queen ordered me to rest.
The human then used on ofthe objects in her possession and engulfed our Queen's precious eggs
in flames, destroying the lives of our kind that were waiting for hosts. Furious with this, I
chased after the humans, seeking them out to kill. I made my way around a corner, when the larger
human turned to face me and, with the objects in her hand, sent small projectiles through my
flesh. I laid there on the floor, unable to move, knowing how I had failed my Queen. Longing for
death I laid there. To my surprise, my Queen came before. She had abandoned her chamber to chase
after the feeling human who destroyed her eggs. She motioned towards me, furious with my failure.
I did not protest what she was about to do. To have failed my Queen in such a way could only be
justified with my own death. My Queen raised her powerful arm, and smashed it through my skull.
And at the instant of death, the last thing I sensed from Her was her fury towards myself, Her
other guards, and the human who had destroyed our hive.
