After the last vestiges of the accursed sun diminish until even the sharp eyes of an eagle can no longer discern its rays, you walk into the large city park as instructed by your hostess. There are large oak trees all around you, and to your right there is a wide stream that flows where hence you came. As you continue, the rushing water passing you with no regard to your internal shivers, you notice that the stream issues from a cavern-like cement passageway. Above this dark entrance, the din of a city throughfare drowns out the gurgling water. You follow The Prescribed Way, a silver pendant adorned with tiny bells gingerly extended before you, until you see the outline of a slightly open portal which spills forth an eerie glow...at the end of this downward sloping passage there is a large oak door...on either side there are sconces filled with a strange luminesecent moss, the lone light source in the hall... |
