IF I WERE BLIND
If I were blind
I wouldn't see the sun rise
Miss the stars twinkling at night
Spectrum of colors from the light
If I were blind
I wouldn't see the birds in the sky
The children flying colorful kites
And would miss this world's delight
If I were blind
I would not see the two of you
Playing, giggling, without any blue
Laughing, exploring things that are new
If I were blind
Maybe it'll not hurt that much
As to when I always see things as such
For it cuts me through so much
If I were blind
Then I wouldn't see the fact
That you and I have to part
For it breaks my weary heart
