Sonnet for an Angel and an Incubus Author Unknown
Dark desires under pale skin,
Short stature and silly vanity,
Sharp hisses come from within
Spitting venom on all eternity
Wings — beautiful, rare, slim—
Outshine shadows of Adversity
But acting as an offspring of Sin,
You keep covering the Verity.
Your poison harms none of us
Feathers, no leather, in the wings
You're an Angel, not an Incubus
Spitting venom on all eternity,
You keep covering the Verity:
You're an Angel, not an Incubus.
