Lilith by Rhys Moses
She sleeps
In effervescent pools of light.
Moonlight takes shape
Over pallid white flesh;
A scream
Of desire overcomes darkness.
My mind whirls inward
Through a spiral of fantasy.
She waits
For me, to take away
Her pain by allowing my
Heartbeats to echo in her tomb.
A moment
Is all anything lasts.
Suffering claims another soul,
And I am one with the night.
