Doc Savage In French Lefrancq Collection Claude Lefrancq started 1995 the ambitious project to publish the whole Doc Savage saga in french. He therefore acquired the translation rights for the french language from Condé Nast. Unfortunately, Edition Lefrancq went bankrupt in September 1999, and this has probably put a definitive stop on the project, after only 13 novels. Lefrancq en Poche #4 (La mort argentée) has been listed on some on-line sites, like La Fnac, but to my knowledge it has never really been published. By a not so random coincidence, Claude Lefrancq was also on the way to publish the integrality of the Bob Morane adventures (remember the Marabout collection). Note that english translations of Bob Morane were published by Corgi Books (UK), that also published three Doc Savage novels.... The Marabout translations were reused whenever available. They were reviewed by a new translator. Only two brand new translation have been published: Sur la piste de l'araignée and Le mystère dans la neige. Doc adventures were published in two formats:

The Covers All the covers display original art. Patrice Sanahujas, who painted the cover of Volume 1 died in 1996. His job was taken over by Jean-Jacques Chaubin. Back covers use Jean-Jacques Chaubin's original depiction (L'Homme de Bronze and Volume 2).
