Oh wow. I thought I was way impressed with 7x01, but DAMN was I wrong!! I have never had so many emotions evoked at once while watching a single episode. First, I was totally grossed out by the needle(they make me squeamish)and then I was totally pissed at CSM. Was he pulling that crap to make Mulder come with him? And what about his mother!! She was all for him being taken by CSM, according to surveilance tapes!! Then, the whole dream sequence with Fowley and Samantha totally bugged me out-I was sooooo mad when Mulder "slept" with Diana Fowley.
Also, I think he's so obsessed with the guilt factor-I almost freaked when Mulder as an old man started crying when Scully was yelling at him for being cowardly.
The touch with Albert Holstein was great! I love that guy so much. But I have to say, it was rather disturbing to see three characters killed off in one ep. Excellent writing, especially the end scene. Mulder and Scully always sizzle together, and this ep was no different. It was really incredible to see the old Scully back again and fighting to save her partner. The end was so sweet-I think I'm going to go rewind and watch again!! I love any 'shipper action, as we all know...and SPOILER here, but watch out!! November 28th is the kiss-for-real ep that we've been promised for oh-so-long. The heat between them is getting far too strong to keep it out of the script for long, and the characters are just out of control!! I love it!!
PS...I know how childish this was of me, but I screamed "YES!!!!" so loud when Scully said Fowley was dead...that was mean...Mimi Rogers is an excellent actress, but I've been praying for death to Diana for so long now. It was a little bewildering to see her killed off after she had a change of heart, just like Spender...sad...but we all know, if you don't see a body...
One more thing...I'm so happy that Mulder stopped destroying his space ship...::sigh::
