::GASSPPPPPP:: Every 'shipper's dream come true!!! The kiss that we have all dreamed of has finally arrived, and hopefully, with it, more of the 'ship, as well. I'm glad Mulder took the initiative and basically said, "Oh what the hell". I'm sorry, but the look Scully had on her face has done nothing more than confirm that she was nothing but happy and surprised at his forwardness, and so WHAT if it was a happy New Year's kiss? It's what they've both been waiting for. I especially liked the "Scully...the world didn't end after all..." that he added in there...that was a nice touch, and it certainly didn't have one meaning, either! Okay...::trying to breathe::...YAY!! Fanfic food!!

Okay, on to the ep itself. Well done!! Gruesome and exciting, it had me sitting on the edge of my seat, but I was pissed that Mulder wasn't there when Scully was attacked. But it worked, and she ended up saving him anyway. Female empowerment!! YEAH BABY!! We girls have to do right by our men, no matter what. Huge responsibility, but what would they do without us? Okay. Well, the zombies were freaky as hell, and I was glad to see that Mulder was thinking straight and used that salt in his pocket. I don't think I would have remembered that I had it, if I were him. Frank Black's appearance was well done, as well, and I was glad to see some closure come to Millenium. Yay for the heros of the show!! Anyway, I give snaps to Chris and the gang for creating yet another wonderful ep, and throwing in a great shipper moment under the guise of traditional holiday cheer. Because we all know, considering that there have been 6 other new year's eve's with them as partners, that Mulder would never have taken that chance any other time. Well, let us cross our fingers again and hope for the best for the rest of the season. I wonder how many takes it took to get that kiss just right...?
