*"Closure", 7x11*

Well, let's try this one again, seeing as how my computer really doesn't like me today. Okay, so I was wrong. There was closure here, after all. It may not have been closure in a physical sense, but if it's good enough for Mulder, it's good enough for me.

I just have to say that this is one of the only eps that have really made me cry!! Yeah, yeah, yeah, when he hugged Sam, the look on his face just sent me to pieces. And when Amber-Lynn LaPierre smiled up at him like she *knew* he had been working to find her, that was it for me.

This one went really nicely. When they found Sam's diary and read it page by page together, I thought it was touching that Scully was there, even though she had given up on him at first. After CGB visited her, she flew right back to Mulder to try and save him again. Only this time she was trying to save him from himself and from a truth he wasn't sure he wanted to find.

I really liked how this ep made Mulder the calm, accepting one, and Scully the one seeking closure. I'm not sure if I saw correctly, but during the scene where the psychic was summoning the spirits around them, I could have sworn I saw Melissa. I'm not sure if this is true, however, because I think we almost certainly would have seen Emily as well. Thank goodness for fanfiction!! At least I can make closure in my own mind!! It seems that Scully is the one who needs to lay her demons to rest now, and Mulder is the one who can move on.

Moving on is one thing, but what will he do now? What will he do now that the driving force behind his work is gone? The X-Files can't hold the same meaning for him anymore, so what will he and Scully do now?

I guess we'll see in the coming weeks...

Come back for more next week, and please feel free to send comments in as well! 1
