Want to get rid of the Boot Up logo (when you power up your computer)

in Windows Me, or make your own to replace it?

The image is stored in your root directory as a Hidden/System file named LOGO.SYS.

Open this file in a compatible image editor (my PhotoMagic v1.0 would not open it, Ulead did.)

Then edit (Paint or Fill) the image and SAVE.

Notes:

I tried replacing it with a new standard GIF that I renamed, it did not work.
The attributes (Hidden and System) do not have to be reset.
There is a copy of this file in the Windows directory. (if you simply delete it and the one located in the root directory Windows will still display the default splash screen)
