The Doctor is extremely weak after his regeneration and seeks refuge in the TARDIS' Zero Room, leaving his
companions to operate the TARDIS. Adric is kidnapped by The Master, who is using him to get to
The Doctor. Tegan consults the ship's index file and pilots the TARDIS to Castrovalva, a planet said
to be so peaceful that it can heal the regeneration process. As The Doctor recuperates, he learns that
Castrovalva is not as it appears on the surface, but is actually a paradoxical trap set by The Master.

Kinda (4 episodes)
The TARDIS materializes on Deva Loka, home to a peaceful, magical culture known as the Kinda. An expedition
from Earth is surveying the planet for further colonization, and the humans fear the strange powers of the
Kinda. Tegan is separated from the others and becomes incredibly tired. While sleeping, she is taken over by
the Mara, an evil force that infects people's dreams. Through Tegan, the Mara begins to increase its power
and threatens to take over the entire population.

The Visitation / Black Orchid (4 episodes / 2 episodes)
In The Visitation, The Doctor tries to bring Tegan back to her own time, but lands 300 years too early.
The Doctor and his companions take cover in the home of a local rogue. The Doctor's suspicions are aroused when
he finds an alien power source and uncovers the plot of the Terileptils to take over the world.
In Black Orchid, they arrive in London 1926, where The Doctor is mistaken for someone else and joins a
cricket match. The Doctor plays brilliantly and is invited to the Lord Cranleigh's estate. Nyssa is a double
for the Lord's niece, and everyone is getting ready for a masked ball. When several bodies turn up,
The Doctor becomes the prime suspect in this murder mystery.

Earthshock (4 episodes)
The TARDIS lands in a huge cavern beneath the surface of the Earth in the 26th century manned by an excavation team
and two androids. The Doctor discovers that they are protecting a powerful bomb, which is activating and
threatens to blow up the Earth. After disarming it, they trace the detonation signal to a space freighter that
is hiding an invading band of Cybermen. The Doctor acts to foil the Cybermen's plans to disrupt a Galactic
peace conference.

Arc of Infinity (4 episodes)
The Doctor's bio-data extract has been stolen from the Matrix on Gallifrey and transmitted to the
world of anti-matter. The Time Lords learn that some being is using the extract to bond with The Doctor
and enter into our universe. They bring The Doctor to Gallifrey and plan his execution in order to stop
the treat, but it is revealed that the being is none other than Omega, the criminal Time Lord who was
first seen in The Three Doctors. Omega uses Tegan to blackmail The Doctor into helping him escape
his anti-matter prison.

Snakedance (4 episodes)
Tegan is still haunted by the Mara, which causes her to redirect the TARDIS to Manussa, its home planet.
The Mara was banished 500 years earlier by the people of Manussa, but prophecy tells of its eventual
return to claim the planet. The Doctor, sensing the time is near, tries to warn the people of the
impending peril as the Mara prepares to again take physical form and planetary domination.

Mawdryn Undead (4 episodes)
The Black Guardian returns to finally defeat The Doctor. He employs an alien boy, Turlough, who is trapped
on Earth and wants to return to his home planet. The TARDIS is brought to a deserted satellite circling Earth,
and The Doctor, checking out malfunctions, gets separated from Tegan and Nyssa. They discover a badly burned
man, who at first they think is The Doctor, but is actually Mawdryn, a scientist from the satellite whose
body needs perpetual regenerations from a stolen Time Lord machine. The Doctor runs into the Brigadier, who teaches
at Turlough's school, and they try to get back to the TARDIS while Turlough plots to murder The Doctor.

Terminus (4 episodes)
Turlough, who has joined The Doctor as his new companion, is still working for the Black Guardian and
sabotages the TARDIS. Forced to make an emergency dematerialization, they land on a spaceship transporting
victims of a space plague to Terminus, where they are promised a cure. The TARDIS begins to disintegrate and
Nyssa escapes into the plague ship. Tegan and Turlough get trapped within the ship, and The Doctor works
to find his companions and cure Nyssa, who has contracted the disease.

Enlightenment (4 episodes)
The Doctor receives a warning from the White Guardian that the Black Guardian is after him. They land on
what appears to be an Edwardian sailing ship, but is actually a spaceship in a star race for Enlightenment.
The crew of humans were brought from their time by their captains, the Eternals, a race that has evolved
beyond time. The Doctor and his companions become involved in a power struggle between the
captains of the competing vessels. The White and Black Guardian stand at the finish line,
waiting to give the power to control the universe to the winner.

In The King's Demons, the TARDIS lands in England in 1216 during a jousting tournament at the
court of King John, who sees the travelers as his "demons". It is later revealed that the King is
actually an imposter, a shape-shifting android, the Kamelion, brought to this time zone by The Master.
The Doctor works to foil the Master's plot to prevent the signing of the Magna Carta.

The Five Doctors (4 episodes in one 90-minute special)
This special episode was broadcast to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Doctor Who, bringing together
all five doctors, many of his companions, and his most diabolical enemies. The different incarnations
of The Doctor are being abducted from their various time-streams and transported to the Death Zone, a forbidden
area on Gallifrey. The Doctors converge on the Tomb of Rassilon to escape the Zone, while being chased by
Cybermen and Daleks. In a last ditch attempt to save The Doctors, the Time Lords persuade The Master to
transmat into the Zone and help.

Warriors of the Deep (4 episodes)
The TARDIS lands in an underwater missile base on 21st century Earth, where two superpowers are on the verge
of global war. The Doctor and his companions are immediately arrested as spies, while three Silurians attempt
to revive a lost army of Sea Devils. Their plan is to attack the base and begin the nuclear exchange, thus wiping
out humanity, leaving Earth to the reptiles. The Doctor must convince the humans of the impending attack before the
Sea Devils are able to destroy the surface of the planet.

The Awakening / Frontios (2 episodes / 4 episodes)
In The Awakening, The Doctor takes Tegan to visit her grandfather in England, and they land during
a village re-enactment of a 17th century battle. An alien force controls the townspeople and
they believe the acted events are actually taking place. In Frontios, the TARDIS is forced by a gravitational
force to a planet on the edge of the universe. A group of human colonists struggle for survival against the harsh
landscape and continual meteor showers. Mysterious deaths occur and The Doctor traces them to a threat from underground,
while attempting to repair his wrecked TARDIS.

Resurrection of the Daleks (2 50-minute episodes)
The Doctor and Tegan discover a time tunnel in a London warehouse - at the other end are Daleks! The Daleks have freed
Davros from a prison ship to create an antidote for a deadly Movellan virus. Davros, skeptical of the Daleks intentions,
decides to create his own strain of Daleks that are completely loyal. The Doctor battles against the
Daleks, getting caught between warring Dalek factions.

Planet of Fire (4 episodes)
The Doctor and Turlough track a mysterious beacon to present day Earth, where an archeological team has discovered an
alien artifact near Lanzarote. Turlough comes to the rescue of Perpugillium "Peri" Brown, the daughter of the
expedition team leader who nearly drowns nearby. Peri is taken to recover aboard the TARDIS, which is suddenly hijacked to the
prison planet Sarn by The Master, who is seeking a revitalizing volcanic gas. Turlough learns that the prisoners of Sarn are resistance
fighters from his home planet of Trion, imprisoned during a bloody civil war. The Doctor, joined by Peri, work to stop The Master
before he is able to fully recover and seize control.

The Caves of Androzani (4 episodes)
The Doctor and his new companion Peri land on Androzani Minor, the source of a powerful life-sustaining drug. Several
factions maneuver to control the drug supply and the arrival of the TARDIS disrupts the fragile tensions.
The drug is controlled by the bizarre masked Sharaz Jek, who becomes obsessed with Peri. The Doctor and Peri
contract a deadly disease with a very rare cure. Weakened by the infection, The Doctor strength starts to
fade and his body begins to regenerate.
