~My Favorite Movies~

The Craft Site

I thought of what exactly this page should consist of and to tell you the truth I was not happy with it....I think linking a bunch of movie pics to sites is only a bore. Its much more exciting to actually sit and discuss my favorites and what I find moving about them.

Before the Titanic & Leonardo DiCaprio collided, I was a fan of his. His most moving performance in my own opinion was "What's eating Gilbert Grape". A phenominal performance. He should have had the stardom from that movie or perhaps "The Basketball Diaries" . Those were awesome performances. Not that I didn't like the Titanic, I have followed that throughout the National Geographics my entire life!

Movies affect me in many different ways, influence my thoughts or feelings, or change my point of view perhaps...they are always entertaining nonetheless. I hate to wrap myself up in a drama that jerks tears from me. Who needs to be reminded of how bad our world sucks? I burn inside because nothing can be done about our the state our world is in. So why make a movie about that? *L* I find movies as an escape from reality, like a good book.

You most often will find me interested in movies that have an incredible meaning, or none at all. I was fully enthralled in Jodie Foster's "Contact". The special effects were awesome, and the story wasn't beyond belief. She is truly a talented actress.

If you were to be a fly on the wall in my home, you would see the movie "Labyrinth" on ALOT! David Bowie was perfect as the Goblin King. It was a fantastic movie, lots of hidden meanings for adults to decode! I can watch it 1,000 times and find something new about it each time.

I was sad to hear "Twister" didn't have quite the impact producers thought, so say the critics...but who the hell are they? They must be truly bored individuals, I found it fasinating to see the point of view of storm chasers. Not anyone has seen quite what they do. I enjoy that, I have an archive full of documentary tapes of tornados, twister, etc. I found it exciting..*S*

My all time favorites span the gammet..from "Better Off Dead" to "The River's Edge" or "Boxing Helena" to "Fargo". I have lots of favorites, too many to name!

You have to go see "Sixth Sense". It rules! I have never been so caught off guard by a movie, I loved it..I cried. I hadn't had a movie affect me in such a way that this one did. Remarkable acting skills, fantastic storyline...I absolutley could watch it a 1,000 times & find something new about it every time. Highly reccomended!!!

This film debuted on my birthday. I had just finished the book and was totally anxious to see it. The book had made me loathe Lestat. All the controversy over Tom Cruise taking on the role made it even more of a must see! Man!!! I was not disappointed! I fell in love with Lestat in the movie. Tom Cruise breathed a morbid sense of humor into Lestat that captivated me! It was a fabulous movie!

I recently saw Great Expectations..with Gwyneth Paltrow, and I must say I was enthralled. Her performance was sheer perfection, incredible. There were so many ironies between her character and myself. I truly fell in love with the movie. A classic , indeed! She gave quite a performance in "A Perfect Murder" as well. I loved her most in "Shakespear in Love" though, truly a talented young lady. *S*

Just thought I would list a few of my favs

"Nuts" with Barbara Streisand
"A Murder of Crows" with Cuba Gooding Jr.
"Stir of Echoes"
"Cruel Intentions" Reese Withersoon & Ryan Phillippe
"Four Rooms" with Madonna, Tim Roth & more..
Twin Falls Idaho{HBO}
"Sphere"
"The Haunting"
"The Long Kiss Goodnight"
with Gena Davis (kicks ass!)
"Jawbreaker"
Excellent!

Heavy rains flail from the darkend skies, washing over me with dire intent, their immenant demise forecast in the impact of ceasation against my body, newly introduced to the world's tears.. Wetting my face , gazing upturned to the heavens; Skin against skin, every breath you take is mine... tasting the life as it flows free from your perfect form, Lovers in the rain. Sanguin and intrepid, endless exploration beneath the veil of Angelic tears... Sweet in intent... Held Deeply, impassioned and singular in enraptured bliss... Bodies melded into a singular being of desire, sealed in want and need, we come together... Salt taste, Sweet elixir of your desire, staining finger tips, bed, and lips... You are on me... The forever mark on my soul... My endless beginning and my destination

Darkness wends it's lonely path through long passive corridors of uncertainty of languid dreams of saddened seapration, Efforts of distanced touch, strange tugging of heartfelt want and soul rending need whetted by the longing eternal of Love's singular kiss..... Time immemorial's immortal embrace and the soft , yielding sensation of your skin upon mine... Lingering kisses and the deep taste of you, salty and sweet upon my lips and fingers swooping in deft exploration of Desire's perfect liason from the Devine to the incarnate.. From the abstraction of need and love to the solidified unity of our bodies against one another. Your kisses , hot upon my face, Your hands strong and urgent upon my body, and my soul forever lost in the experience of you
