All About Ravinn...

Good evening and welcome to my wicked domain. The thunderstorm in the distance, sets the mood for your visit to my Nest. You come in from the dampened darkness, feeling drawn here. As you walk in, your eyes drink in the beauty of my timeless domain. Lightning flashes through a heavily-draped window, illuminating from behind Ravinn. Rain softly falls upon the roof, setting the atmosphere for your stay. Dark candles glow, making it very comfortable & inviting.

Sit for a moment while I tell you a little about myself. Sit back, relax, and watch as I prepare you a drink.....

Generally known to be harmless, I am a lover of all things strange, unique, vampyric & mystical. I am strict to a fault, and often punish myself for my own mistakes. Nothing has made me learn faster than a little self-torture. My actions mimic those of a cat, and I have been often told I am very feline-like. *wicked grin*

I have written stories my entire life. I am the most creative person I know, whether I am writing or helping others with ideas. I enjoy it a great deal. So far my favorite story I've written is this vampire novel I am sharing with you. But, I have lots of ideas for interesting story-telling. I may lay out some ideas on you in the future to see what you think. ~S~ I think the best stories are the darker ones. Always an element of evil makes a more interesting tale.

To make the story even more interesting, is the fact that I took many events from my own life and the lives of my surrounding friends, to make this novel. The names of course are different, but the things happening in the book are very real. Some of the emotions written, are truly how I felt at the time these events unfolded. Unfortunately none of us are friends anymore, kind of an ironic twist of fate....*rubs her chin in thought*

I'm an intellectual, (sorry boys *giggles*)I must have stimulating brains to pick, otherwise I get bored. And I'm one of those souls that jumps into a situation fully & completely. Much like jumping into the middle of the ocean, no where to touch bottom. Letting the whole thing engulf me. I experience the entire situtation with every pore & ounce of flesh on my body, my whole being feels it. People tend to wade into life much like they do the ocean...but not me. I experience it to the fullest, you only have one chance. Take it. Makes things interesting turning it into fiction! *S*

My Passions

My tarot card collection. I have many different types & styles. I love the artwork on them, and receive most of my decks as gifts from my friends. I only read from one deck in general, but display the other decks around my house for everyone to see. I read cards for a living, and pretty damn good at it too. I've read for over 11 years.

My writing... is my biggest passion so far. I have taken experiences in my own life and applied them to make a marvelous vampire story...filled with betrayal, passion, depth, and a variety of vampire characters to fall in love with. Some ruthless, callous..while others are filled with passion, filling your eyes with tears over their demise...this is a side of me that you, the viewer, know better than those around me. I do not show my writings to my friends, they don't get into it like I do. So I keep it private.

I love the moon, I have for years. As a child I looked at it with my father thru a telescope. I thought that was the greatest thing I had ever seen. Nothing can captivate me like a blazing full moon. It does possess a certain power that deeply effects me. Electricity pulses throughout my body around a full moon, like I am more alive than any other time.

Music is a great passion of mine. I listen to everything from Classical, Industrial, to New Age, alternative or punk stuff. I also love period music...i.e.: 70's or 80's music. I have lots of varieties, helping promote moods for which to write my stories. Music affects me much like emotions do. It changes my moods or inspires me in many ways, one of which is my writing...

About Me....

Well, I can tell you how I began the whole book thing. My friends and I were always going out and having fun, the ten or so of us made quite the impression on some in the local bars...we had an incredibly cool night life. One friend of mine said he had a great idea for a vampire story. Each of the characters, were patterned to each one of us in our group. Each personality fit that of our own. The idea grew.

We began conspiring together, creating character profiles, and histories. My friend had began the idea of the book, then I followed with my own version of the events he had written, thus making a kind of Chronicles.
We were all influenced by Anne Rice, and I, myself, watch or read anything to do with vampires!

So there you have it, that is how these tales came about.

My life has been an open to book to most. I never cared what anyone thought of me, because I knew early on I was different than the "norm". I liked the weirder and stranger things, and dressed to get attention. But the point in all that was, I was always happy, because I always made a choice that I had the power to choose. Not many do, by their own fault. All I can say is I have NO REGRETS....~grins~

Q|If we stepped inside your house, what would catch our eye?
A|Well I would have to say my bedroom. Its completely done in leopard print. The walls, the comforter, pillows, curtains...computer cover, lamps, and on, and on, it goes until your almost blind!!!!! Its fabulous! I get alot of compliments on its decor! *modest grin*

Q|What is the weirdest thing to ever happen to you?
A|I suppose living with a ghost. My old townhouse was family-owned, it was a huge place over my father's business. The building was over a hundred years old. It had survived the 1937 flood of the Ohio river. But I felt it was high in ghost activity. It never scared me, but everyone aside from me, were always aware of her presence. Refer to my Ghost Tale page.

Q|Who has influenced you most in life?
A|I have to say my son, simply because my life forever changed when he was born. I saw life through new eyes, and had a better apppreciation for it. *S*

Q|What channel would we find your TV on, most likely?
A|To be honest these days....I love Adult Swim, it fuckin' rocks!....*cheesy grin*......but usually Nicktoons & documentaries about catastrophic weather, seriel killers, or forensic science. ~arches a brow~

A|Well only one..Lisa Marie Presley's "To Whom it May Concern" She kicks ass!!! ~wicked grin~

Q|What's your favorite holiday?
A|Halloween, like you had to ask dumbass?!! ~LOL~

Q|What magazines would we find in your bathroom?
A|Hmmm...~laughs~....nothing at the moment...men have very bad aim..*smart-ass grin*

A|LIARS... I hate them, lower than dogshit on your shoe!

A|DQ's Mocha Moo-Latte, need I say more....? *wicked grin*

A|I'm a drama queen...to the maximum, man. It is so true, ask any of my friends & they will tell you I dramatize EVERYTHING! Life is WAY too boring & short to live it so seriously....*snickers*

A|No cartoon character has more class than the Pink Panther...
