          The Functions of the Kingdom of Eden:

          The Kingdom of Eden is a Monarchy. Entrance into the Kingdom of Eden is granted based upon the consideration of the Queen. New citizens of the Kingdom are bestowed with a title based upon the division of the Kingdom they wish to enter; The Royal Knighthood and The Nobility Sector. Those entering the Royal Knighthood are bestowed the title of -Squire- from which they must learn the laws of the Kingdom and perform in battle/tournament to prove themselves worthy of promotion which is decided upon by the First Knight and/or the Queen. Those entering the Noble Sector are bestowed the title of -Baron/Baroness- from which they may gain titles based upon merit which looks highly upon loyalty to the crown. Exceptions are made from time to time based upon the decision of the Queen’s discretion. Titles structure within the Kingdom is as follows:

          The Nobility Sector:

          The Royal Knighthood:

          Knight Protector of the Royal Family - Most Honorable Sir

          Knight Banneret - Right Honorable Sir
          Knight Companion to the Knight Banneret - Most Right Worthy Sir
          Knight Companion - Most Worthy Sir
          Knight Bachelor - Worthy Sir
          Knight - Sir
          Squire - (none)

           

          ~Appointed positions within the Kingdom~

          Champion to the Queen: This position is bestowed upon the individual chosen by the Queen to champion her and defend her honor unto death. This individual should be strong in character and hold undying loyalty to the crown.

          Lady in Waiting: This position is given to unwed females who hold titles of Nobility within the Kingdom, whom then become part of the Queen’s entourage. These ladies assist the Queen with minor tasks that may be encountered. Ladies in Waiting are usually found escorting the Queen on her journeys (no proper lady is found unescorted). 

          Page: This position is given to young males within the Kingdom who hold titles of Nobility within the Kingdom, whom then become part of the Queen’s entourage. These gentlemen perform errands for the Queen when such is necessary.

          Royal Sheriff: This position encompasses great responsibility by the citizen holding this title. It is not gender restricted, yet calls for one whom knows the laws of the Kingdom thoroughly and can act upon such fairly, yet sternly when a law has been
          broken. The candidate for such a position is called to perform certain duties stated as follows:
          - To uphold and enforce the Constitutionn of the Kingdom.
          - To prepare and present summons to offeenders of the Constitution.
          - To bring forth violators before the Juustices of the Kingdom for their court cases to be heard.
          - To maintain order and peace during Sennate Meetings and promote justice throughout the Kingdom.

          Royal Holder of the Coffers: This position encompasses bookkeeping and the maintaining of Citizen’s accounts within the Kingdom. The citizen holding this position is aware of all finances within the Kingdom and reports to the Queen as to the overall outlook of the financial status.

          Royal Philosopher: This position encompasses knowledge of philosophy, hypnotherapy, counseling, and energy work (reiki, use of crystals, etc.) which are used to aid in psychological needs of others.

          Royal Physician: This position encompasses the physical health and well being of a citizen. Those certified in the field are allowed to hold such a position. Duties include performing first aid and other forms of basic emergency service to maintain an individual until such time as an ambulance arrives in critical situations.

          Master/Mistress of Ceremonies: This position encompasses the preparation of events and the feasting for a gathering. The candidate must be one whom is dependable and punctual. Duties include the following:
          - Preparation of a schedule of events foor the day of the gathering.
          - Overseeing that the meal is prepared ffor the feast and that all whom are attending have contributed either monetarily or with goods to be served.
          - Formal introductions of new citizens tto existing citizens at gatherings/Senate Meetings.

          Royal Scribe: This position encompasses the maintenance and storage of paperwork for the Kingdom. The candidate must be accurate in their note-taking as well as organized in their holding of such paperwork.

          Member of the Edenian Intelligence Service (EIS): This position encompasses the research and analysis of facts and knowledge for many situations that may arise within the Kingdom. This may include tasks such as gaining information about a particular location in which to propose for a gathering, or obtaining information on other people/organizations.

           

          ~Money within the Kingdom~
          There is a Master Account that will be maintained by the Queen and the Royal Holder of the Coffers to which citizens will hold their own sub-accounts within the whole. This system is being used to allow monies within the Kingdom to be physical and accessible to aid in the holding of gatherings and other Royal Events. ($1 = 1 Royal Crown)

           

          ~Law Making within the Kingdom~
          Laws are to be proposed and voted upon at Senate Meetings. These meetings shall take place on an -as needed- basis. These meetings will take place in the Capital city of the Kingdom but such can be waived and held elsewhere per the discretion of the Queen. The Queen has a final say as to what is to be passed into law.
