Gambit's Friends, Foes and Family

These are people that are closely related to Gambit in some way shape or form. If you have a correction, or someone you think should be here, email me.

Family and In-Laws

Jean Luc Lebeau - Gambit's adopted father. He found Remy on the streets of New Orleans and took him in to the Thieves Guild. Him being the "Guild Master" of the Thieves, Remy was pretty much next in line for the throne. Jean Luc banished Gambit from New Orleans for a second time after the little mishap of the stolen Elixer of Life.

Henri - Gambit's big brother. He taught Gambit everything he knows about
the Thievin' business. He came to the mansion to get Gambit to go back to New Orleans
to stop his brother-in-law, that he thought had died, from starting another war. The
Assasians Guild followed him to the mansion and killed him on the balcony.

Lapin- Remy's Cousin. He makes a short apperance in the Rogue series.
All I got out of the conversation is that they have been friends since they were "pups".

Marius- Gambit's Father-in-law. Not to happy with Remy because he has
killed Julien and got Belladonna killed about 300 million times :) But he did save
Belladonna once, so I guess that makes up for it. Marius recently died in the Rogue
mini-series.

Julien-Gambit's Brother-in-law. Gambit was kicked out of New Orleans for
killing him the first time, to find out later that he was still alive. Him and a few other
assasians followed Henri to the Mansion and he gave the orders to kill him. Julien was
"addicted" to the Elixer of Life and was willing to kill his own family to get it. Marius
killed him in the end of the Gambit mini-series.

Tante Maddie - The nurse maid of the Guilds. I am not sure if she belongs
to just one of the Guilds because I have seen here working for both sides. She took care of
Remy as a child, and watched over him and Storm in the first couple Gambit apperances,
but she helped BellaDonna when she was in the coma, and watched Cody for Belladonna in
the Rogue series. All I know is that Stormy likes her cookin' :)

Loves of his Life

Belladonna - Gambit's Best friend and wife from New Orleans. There
marriage was arranged by the Thieves Guild and Assaisans Guild to stop an all out war
between the 2 families. Shortly after the marriage, Gambit was kicked out of New Orleans
for killing his brother-in-law. Soon after joining the X-men, Belladonna caught up with
Gambit in New York to ask for his help with the Brood that was killing off the Guilds. She
was killed by the Brood by helping Psylocke save Ghost Rider from it. Gambit found out
that she was only near death in New Orleans. When he saved her with the stolen Elixer of
Life, she awoke not remembering anything of her past, because of a touch from Rogue.
She blamed Rogue and Gambit for it and kidnapped Gambit and Rogue's old friend Cody
for revenge.

Rogue - Gambit's present time love, sometimes. they started off real well
after meeting each other shortly after Gambit came to the X-men. But everytime Rogue
gets a piece of Gambit's past out of him, she runs away. She recently put Gambit in a coma
by kissing him, she also absorbed a few of his memories of his dealing with Sinister in
Seattle, which scared her away again. She was brought back to the X-men team when
Gambit and the Avengers were looking for Magneto, and found her with him. Now it is a
love triangle between the three.

Lila - Gambit's lover in the Age of Apocolypse time persiod. After Rogue
dumped his butt for Magneto, he ended up with her. She was the human part of the
X-ternal gang, until she found out she was a mutant with the ability to demension
jump. From then on she jumped the gang back and forth to the AOA earth and space to get
the M'Kraan crystal.

Other Friends

Storm - One of the best friends that Remy has in the X-men. Gambit found
Storm, or Stormy as he calls her, in her child form in Cairo. He saved her from the Nanny
and the Orphan Maker, the ones who shrunk her to her child form. Since Storm did not
remember her days as an adult and as an X-men. They hung out in New Orleans for a few
months and then joined the X-men in New York after Nanny knocked some sense into her.

Alexandria Davies - A police officier that Gambit worked for in Paris. He
helped her catch Yokio for theivery, and got her a promotion. She was recently killed in
Paris by Mastermind and his sick games.

Caire DeLuc - The mystery woman from the resturant in the desert. She
has a picture of Gambit and a guy named Grey Crow under her counter in the diner.
Rogue, acting on Gambit's memories, said hello to her after they ate at the diner on their
road trip to Seattle.

Foes on Bad Days, Friends on the Good. These are people that have really pissed Gambit off, and have been meaner then hell to him. But then 2 issues later, they fight side by side.

Candra - Gambit and Candra shared some times in Paris (nothing has been
said on what they did, but things can be assumed :) She is an External that also has the
power of Telekinetics. She is mainly known as the Benefactor, the woman who give the
Thieves Guide the Elixer of Life and the Assasians the power. She was the one that gave
Belladonna the idea to kidnap Cody and Remy for revenge against Rogue, but then the
next mini-series she is asking Gambit to run away with her to another deminsion. I just
think she is just really messed up in the head :)

Bishop - When Bishop first arrived to this time from a really screwed up
future, he blamed Gambit for all the problems with his world. He said that Gambit was to
be the one that turns on all the X-men and destroy them causing humans to start killing off
the mutants. But now that he has had time to get to know Gambit, and he found out that it
is really Professor X as Onslaught, they have become good friends. Heck these days, you
see one of them in the comic, you see the other and amazingly enough Bishop doesn't have
a gun to Gambit's head :)

Yukio - Yukio and Gambit, both being Thievies, never got along. Through
out there thievin' carrers they have always been on the opposite sides of contracts.
Gambit stealing things that have already been stolen, and returning them to there owners,
and Yokio stealin' anything of value, has always gotten them in trouble with each other.
But they have one thing in common that will make them fight side by side, there friend
Storm. Even though Yokio got a punch and a kick in anytime she could, they fought well
against the Phalanx.

Foes

The Brood - A funky lookin' parasite that refuses to leave the Gambit and
Ghost Rider alone. The Brood has tried killing of the Guilds and taking over all of New
York. Now it haunting friends of the X-men. This thing never learns.

Mr. Sinister - Little has been said about Sinister and Gambit's connections,
but there is something there. Sinister holds a little bit of respect for Gambit's life, and
Gambit know where Sinisters hide out is located. Also, on Gambit's trip to Seattle they had
a little run in, and everything but kind words were shared. Gambit recently blew up all of
Sinister's hideout with all of the data he had been collecting, so I am sure that there next
meeting will not be a good one.

Sabretooth - Another person Gambit has past connections with, but all has
not been reviled. Sabretooth started off on a bad foot with Gambit, when Sabretooth killed
a "girlfriend" of his for a piece of jewelry. They also have a few other run-ins with each
other, but nothing has been said in detail.

Gris Gris - Belladonna's henchman that follows Rogue and Gambit around
in the Rogue mini-series and causes trouble.
