When in the depths of space and your ship's route to Titan is planned to the last drop of fuel, the last thing you want to do is to use some of it to avoid a collision. When that happens, there are very few options left to the pilot who must now lose some mass for his mission to succeed.

"The Great Miracle" [permanent link]. An interesting retelling of the Jewish Festival of Lights set in the future where aliens have conquered the Earth. When a fleet of ships is sent out to retake the planet, it is ambushed and it will need a miracle for the fleet to survive.

"Kaddish for the Last Survivor" [permanent link]. An interesting tale set in a time when the last survivor of the Holocaust is about to die. But even at this time, the survivor's daughter is being hounded by people who deny the Holocaust. As she sits by his bedside for his last words, he gives her a task that she must decide whether or not to accept; to remember to Holocaust on his behalf.
