A fascinating story about how the world might be if magic spells
actually work in the real world. In this case, the basis of magic
spells is 'modern thaumaturgy'. Just as much of the effects of
quantum theory is based on the manipulation of quantum equations,
thaumaturgy in this story is based on the 'logical manipulation' of
abstract mathematical symbols. Whether you believe it or not, the
story is still a wonderful read and yet another example of how
dangerous magic can be when people with just enough knowledge of magic
put it to use.

A fascinating tale set in a future where miniaturised robots roam the
solar system. A conflict has broken out between robots who wish to
remain independent and those who believe in a 'collective'
intelligence. One independent robot tries to escape but is pursued.
Will it be able to escape and must it use its own independence to help
it survive?
