"Foodstuff"
[permanent link].
A somewhat humourous tale set in Utley's Silurian Tales
series of time-travel stories back to the Silurian time. Two men on a
boat that breaks down find out what the third member of their party is
there for: to find out if people can survive on just Silurian food.
The results of the experiment can be hard to swallow, depending on
your point of view.

"Threading the Maze"
[permanent link].
An intriguing story set in his series of "Silurian Tales".
In this story, an angry man who has just lost his wife threatens the
scientist who invented time travel (which enables people to travel
back to prehistoric times). But the scientist points out that time
travel is impossible and that the man has only travelled across
parallel universes. The tale ends with one final, unexpected twist.

"Walking in Circles"

One of a series of stories about a group of people travelling back to
prehistoric mid-Paleozoic times. As they set about collecting
specimens, one of them fantasies about a relationship with another.
