About me

Ok... here's where you get to know a bit about me... well, my name is Angela, and I was born in Nova Scotia, on July 24, 1979. I'm 5'1", average size, waist-length chestnut hair, grey eyes,and have freckles. I wear glasses, as my eyesight's really bad. I'm smart, have a slightly twisted sense of humor, and am compassionate. I can be a good listener, which makes all of my friends seem to want to tell me things, and when I give advice, I try to make it good.I have an older sister and a younger brother, a cat and a dog. My parents have been married for 26 years, but have separated... they are still on good terms, however, so I'm happy.

I've been single since late July, now, and am living with my mother and younger brother in town. I'm not quite sure whether I want to enjoy the single life, or find another man to be with... but I am available, anyone who's interested.... :)

My likes and dislikes

Now we get to what I like and don't like... a hint... I basically dislike anything that's not listed under the likes, though I'll put up with them when I must. And my likes are NOT listed in any particular order of preference, simply the order in which I think of them.

I like reading fantasy books, some of which are listed under "My favorite authors," and I also read history fiction like Jean Auel's "Clan of the Cave Bear" series, and a bit of science fiction/fantasy. I like astronomy, which probably is linked with my like of sci-fi things like Star Trek, of which I like all shows but the original. I'm also interested in astrology, and I'm a Leo, the 'king' (or queen, in my case) of the zodiac. Hmmm... going online is definately a favorite thing to do, and I love to go on Alamak and talk to my friends all over the world.

I'll wind this down now by mentioning the fact that I'm also interested in music, and I like classical, soft/hard rock, and a bit of alternative, techno/dance, oldies, and one or two rap songs. I've played the clarinet for 8 years now, and the glock for 5.

Air Cadets

Air Cadets has been a very important are of my life for five years... I joined in September of 1993, and through a lot of hard work, was promoted quickly to my graduating rank of Warrant Officer 1st Class (WOI). My best year was my first, I think, because there were lots of nice people there, and we done lots of things like go on a weekend ski trip to Ben Eoin in Sydney, NS, and a canoe trip in April, where my canoe fell into the water while fighting the tidal bore in the Shubie River in Nova Scotia. Since then, it's gone slightly downhill, but it was still lots of fun, and I'm glad to have been in this squadron. I have now graduated, because my 19th birthday is in July, and that is when cadets leave the organization and go on with their lives. I am planning on becoming an officer in the CIC (Cadet Instructor Cadre) some year, and rejoining my squadron as band officer.

In Jun-July 1997, I was able to join the Nova Scotia International Tattoo as part of the Cadet Brass and Reed band. I got to meet all sorts of people from all over the world, especially the Norwegian HMKG (Hans Majestet Kongens Garde). I got a tshirt from them, and a lot of signatures... a couple of addresses too.

I'm starting to ramble now, so I'll get on with the next section.

My favorite authors

This is one of my favorite parts, and the most important part of my life for just about my whole life. My books... :) I've been able to read since I was four, and at grade six I had a reading level of a first-year college student. I'm not sure what it is now, but I mostly read fantasy series lately... here's a list of some of my favorite authors...
