In The Mirror, Puck was introduced. During the episode he transformed every human on Manhatten into a gargoyle. And diddled with their minds so they didn't notice that they'd been transformed! (They thought they's always been gargoyles).
The fay of Gargoyles weren't just elves and fairies, in times past they'd often been taken as gods! During the 'World Tour', the Travellers met Odin and Anubis, amoung others.
Lord of the third race, and of Avalon, Oberon is the most powerful of the fay.

In Gargoyles, the fay often either assumed or created roles as gods. Thus Gargoyles can tap any mythology for plots, ideas, characters and background.
