The Book of Fairies:
Nature Spirits from Around the World
Synopsis
This book is an enchanting anthology of eight fairy stories from around the world. The eight stories have been drawn from such diverse countries as France, Ireland, Japan, and India. Most fairy tales today do are not really about fairies but in these wonderful stories the fairy has the starring role. This book also relates the link of fairies to our natural world. It includes a section in the back called fairy flora and has pictures of the flora throughout. Along with beautiful pastel illustrations the book on the whole conveys the softer side of fairies for our children. Although mainly for children I have enjoyed the book and suggest to parents.
