| The Ares Heavy Predator is the successor to Ares' popular Ares Predator pistol. The new Heavy Predator is a heavier gun, designed for use with .45 ACP. The Heavy Predator is intended for law enforcement use, with an underbarrel flash- light and laser equipment included as standard equipment. Available in matte- black, camo, or brushed chrome finish. Also includes an extra, extended clip for a full 15 rounds of ammo capacity. | |||

The standard model Heavy Predator comes equipped with a high-power laser sight and combat flashlight. The flashlight and laser are combined into a single unit which slides on underneath the barrel of the gun. Removing or attaching the light/laser combo requires two complex actions. If theyare not attached to the gun, increase the concealability by 2 and decrease weight by .25 kg. The extended clip increases ammo capacity by 5 rounds, but sticks a ways distance out of the butt of the pistol and decreases the concealability by 1. Smart variants of the Heavy Predator are available, with both Smartlink and Smartlink II capability. In both cases, the smartlink circuitry is incorporated into the flashlight unit and replaces the laser sight. For the Smartlink I Heavy Predator, increase the base cost by 450¥ and the Street Index by .5. The Smartlink II Heavy Predator increases the base cost by 600¥, the availability by 1 and the Street Index by 1. |

I've heard tell that these two
monstrosities were actualy created over in Ares' Helion Arms subsidiary.
It would certainly seem to match up with their over-the-top weapon design
philosophy.
