A poem from Miguel Ettema, who is working on the sequel to Rarest of the Wild. (with input from yours truly, naturally. *grins*) I really like the overall tenor of this poem.

The Minotaur’s Creed

One in spirit, One of soul,
One of mind that make us whole.
For different trails though we tread
Our voice as one is spoken.

Stand in honour, Stand in pride,
Stand and fight, protect your hide!
For horn and hoof will serve you well
When weapons may lay broken.

Trust in instinct, Trust in fear,
Trust more than eye and nose and ear.
For heart will guide you straight and true
When otherwise you’re bound.

Honour life, Honour peers,
Honour death, but shed no tears.
For kin who pass before you now
Will once again be found.

One in spirit, One of soul,
One of mind that make us whole.
For different trails though we tread
Our voice, as one, is spoken.
