Using "The Celestine Prophecy: An Experiential Workbook"
by James Redfield and Carol Adrienne
1. Particular coincidences or signs connected with
getting my current living space:
A. A management position opened up in this complex
just as my money was running out from being laid off.
The position included an apartment.
2. How I got my present job:
A. Same as above;
B. A store close to my new apartment needed help,
and the owner knew me through visiting with my former
employer at another store.
3. My first impressions of my new workplace:
A. Needed a lot of work in nearly all aspects, from
cleaning to stocking shelves and creating storage space
for extra stock. These and more just happened to be
things I knew I could do if given the opportunity and
freedom to act.
4. Signs potending later occurances:
A. None come to mind.
5. Anything I wished I'd listened to before taking this job:
A. Nothing comes to mind.
6. How I met my most important relationship:
A. I had been back in Florida about two years, after
getting out of the Marines and travelling for a while,
then settling back in North Carolina near where I had
been stationed and getting restless there. I got restless
again, and an opportunity to go to New York came up at
that time, so I took it.
B. On my first job in New York, I literally almost ran
into Nancy (she stepped out from a dining booth right
in my path as I was walking past). We both tried to
apologize at the same time, then introduced ourselves
to each other, talked and played video games until
I was called back to the kitchen.
7. Did Nancy remind me of anyone else?
A. Not that I'm consciously aware of.
8. My first impression of Nancy: Was it a true one?
A. My first impression was of a young woman with low
self-esteem who just wanted to get by, while hoping
for something better (I don't know if that last was
part of my original impression or simply hindsight,
or perhaps a subconscious assessment that went with
the main first impression). Yes, it was mostly true.
9. Signs, portends, et cetera:
A. The only thing I can recall is a certainty, within
a week of our meeting, that this woman would one day
be my wife.
