Gordon stirred and groaned. "Can you hear me?" Azel asked. "Are you okay?" Gordon's eyes opened slightly. "Lisa..." He whispered as he reached towards her face. "Try not to move." "Lisa...why...why did you...why..." "Hurry, Gordon!" Lisa cried as she pulled him up the stone tunnel. "We have to get out of here!" "No. I have to help him." "Please Gordon. We have to go. You know what he's doing. We have to hurry if we're gonna make it out in time." The two hurried up the gloomy path, dim orbs casting ghastly shadows. Natural light broke ahead, as they made it to the hole in the cieling that led to freedom. "This is wrong!" Gordon said. "I can't just leave him." "Please listen. There's nothing you can do. We have to leave now." "DRAGON SLAVE!" The voice boomed down the corridor. "We must hurry!" "RAY WING!" he cried in defeat as he began to fly towards the exit. "DIM WIND!" Lisa called out. Gordon's head snapped back in alarm as he was blown out the exit. Gordon landed roughly on the ground. Shaking the dizzyness he raced towards the hole, as the very earth trembled. "Lisa!" He cried. "Good-bye..." She called out as the fires of the mighty spell ripped through the tunnel, consuming her. Gordon was thrown back by the gyser of fire which shot out the hole. "Lisa!" "Lisa..." Gordon groaned as Azel tended his wounds. "Why...why did you leave me..." "Hold still. You're making things worse." Gordon's eyes shot fully open. He stared into an elvin face framed by long brown hair. "Lisa?" He whispered. "Sorry. I'm Azel. Are you okay." She said as she lifted him into a sitting position. "I'm fine." He said, as if in a dream. *Maybe I am.* "Good. I think I heard your friends. I'll make sure they know where you are. Don't go anywhere." Gordon watched her leave in amazement. He reached into his shirt and pulled out a tarnished silver locket. Flipping it open he stared at the picture, then back up at Azel's fleeting form. "I don't believe it." He whispered. The old man's eyes snapped open, as he felt the energy awaken. He hurried to the large map, where he gestured. A beam of light shot out, flowing around the map until it finally came to rest on a spot in Japan. "I finally found you, Gabriev." He whispered.
