Mewtwo looked over the group, as they walked along.
Well, now it was Gordon and Scimitar. Scimitar was cracking jokes, trying to 
keep Gordon in high spirits over whatever was bothering him.
Mewtwo knew what bothered Gordon though. Just as he knew what bothered 
Scimitar back in the factory. Hell, even Noname's agenda was clear to him. 
Yet, he kept it to himself. 
/Some secrets,/ he thought, /should be kept that way./
Just like his secret. His reason for fighting Chronos, and everything else.

He looked over the corpse before him. Mew was.... was......
/NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!/
It had been 3 years since Chronos began to dominate the world. He and Mew 
stayed out of it. It was just a stupid human war, after all.
They took them by surprise. It was Mewtwo's suggestion to head to this 
island. Had he known it was a Chronos training camp, he would have thought 
different.
And now, Mew, his only real family, paid the price.
/Damn you..../ he said, with a single tear falling down his eye. /DAMN YOU 
ALL!!/
It was probably the biggest massacre of Zoanoids at that time. Fury swipes, 
explosions, nothing was safe from Mewtwo, nothing.
In the end, the island sank. Mewtwo watched from the skies.
/A sea burial, for a noble soul./ he said, watching his friend go to his 
resting place.

"HEY MEWTWO!" Scimitar screamed. 
This was enough to shake the Pokemon out of his thoughts.
/Yes, Scimitar?/
"I just asked, do you think we should eat, before we look for Nameless?"
/Sure, why not?/
He watched in amazement as Scimitar seemed to skip along the road. Gordon was 
about ask....
/No, he isn't gay; he's just happy to go eat./
That silenced the Gabriev.
Scimitar, was indeed, one of the most important people in Mewtwo's life. 
He still remembered how it began......

He was busy trailing a shipment of chemicals to make new acid Zoanoids.
It had been 7 years since he lost Mew. He never joined the resistance. After 
all, what could a bunch of humans do, against Zoanoids?
/Metronome, fire blast/ he whispered, and watched the fire attack destroy the 
truck.
Simple enough, when something slashed him from behind.
He looked to his attackers, who had him pinned down. Enzymes. Model 1's 
apparently. Not as versitile as the later versions, but their ferocity was 
well renowned.
/Well, might as well join you Mew./ He now realised, that there was no way 
that he could win. He was the strongest Pokemon on earth, yet he was nothing 
to them. Might as well just end it.
"MASENKOU!"
The Enzyme above his head was blown away. There wasn't even a body anymore.
The figure somersaulted through the air, coming down onto one with a 
deafening, "KAMEHAMEHA!"
That blast made Mewtwo's massacre on the island look like mercy.
Then, Mewtwo became aware of the tail blade aimed at his head.
His rescuer fazed infront of him, catching the blade.
The boy, who looked to be about 10 years old, was burning his hands against 
the acid axe. His hair was up in blonde spikes. His blue eyes shown with 
determination.
"You might want to run. Enzymes are nothing but trouble." he said to the 
awe-inspired Pokemon.
/What..... are you?/
"Name's Scimitar. You?"
Mewtwo stared at the boy. He had a childish innocence in the way he fought. 
Just like....
/Mew./
The Enzyme's blade slipped free of the boy's grip, and slashed him up side 
the head.
Blood flowed freely from the wound. But already, Mewtwo and the boy began 
their retaliation.
"KAMEHAME-"
/SOLAR-/
"HA!"
/BEAM!/
The Enzyme was wiped away.
Mewtwo looked to the boy. The hit left him unconsicous. Mewtwo could tell 
that it would tramatize him, unless-
Mewtwo touched the boy's head. A glow began to appear over them.
/For you, Mew/ he realised his mistake. /I mean, Scimitar./

Mewtwo smiled. Had he known what they were in for together, he stilled would 
have saved him.
Since the psychic link was installed, Mewtwo followed Scimitar everywhere. 
Turned out that his father and mother were in the resistance, and they were 
as tough as him. Turned out that Mewtwo's opinion of humans had changed.
"Hey Mewtwo." Scimitar called.
/Yeah?/
"We're here."
Mewtwo looked up to the sign. It said, 'Nekohanten'.
/Wonder what adventure we'll have next?/ Mewtwo thought with a grin.
