Gordon smiled as he studied his bloody work. The Zoa-whatevers were an invigorating if not overly challenging fight. There was only one thing to do after such a battle. Gordon walked back into the restaurant to order another dinner or two. Gordon paused as he entered. The Chinese girl was taking an order from a man who was sitting at the table Gordon and Scimitar had occupied just moments ago, their leftover meals still waiting. The man said something and gestured to Gordon. The girl nodded and left. The man turned to Gordon. It was the mysterious sorceror! He waved for Gordon to sit down. "Good afternoon, Mr. Gabriev." The man said as he reached down to scratch Zelgadis's head. "I've taken the liberties of ordering you another meal." "Um, thanks." Gordon said as he downed the last of his ocha. "Your probably wondering who I am, and what I'm doing here." He said as the girl set down the trays. "Among other things." "Well, my name is Xellous. I am a priest of an ancient religion, from the times of magic." "Really? Then maybe you can answer a question I have." "I'll try. What is it you want to know?" In response Gordon reached into his pocket and pulled out a funny looking little idol of a hideous face. "In my searches, I've come across this. It appears to be an idol to some sort of deity known as the Monstrous Zomagustar. But refferences to it are scarce, much moreso than any other deity I've encountered. And they only seem to derive from one time period, around when Lina Inverse was wandering the lands. Do you know anything about it?" "Um, that's a very interesting story." Xellous sweatdropped. "But I'm afraid it'll have to wait for another time." "I suppose. Thanks for the meal, but I've got to be going." He said, laying some bills on the table. "Oh really. And where exactly are you heading?" "I gotta get to Umbrella's offices. They've got a Claire Bible manuscript. I have to get in there before they evacuate." "Good luck, Gordon." He waved as Gordon and Zelgadis walked out of the restaurant. "You're going to need it." With that, Xellous placed some more money on the table, and disappeared.
