Syracuse, New York ten minutes ago Cora smiled and pressed and moved around the glass encased scene. It looked so peaceful within. Several bangles and a cub all appeared as though they were in a huge pile, but instead were nestled against eachother for warmth, on a cool night. She smiled. They were quiet. Peaceful. the seemed to find the rest they needed in the night, and she wished she could as they did, resst, nearly all ignoring the strange feeling in the air. It tingled, this unknown sensation, and raced from the tip of her toes, up her legs, up her spine and into her heard, where it was almost as though a gong went off in her head! She groaned under her breath and the tigers, all of them looked up simultainiously. The other big cats around her seemed to come alert as well. A lion roared from its den and she spun around, the moon, full, had dissapeared from the sky and the stars faded away. The hair on her arms and the back of her neck rose on end. The tigers, the lions and the cougers all began to pace to and fro. Ishtar roared, answering the Lion and drew onto him Cora's attention. "Shh.. it's alright Ishtar.." She said trying to calm her own fear which raged in her mind. A howl, sinester and enraged filled the air and she spun around on her heals. She could hear the familiar sounds of the animals, coming awake in the night, but they were agitated and afraid. In the blackness that had encased her, she could see a strange glow racing towards her and she paled. Diving away it crashed into the glass seperating her from the lions. Glass flew around her and she clutched herbetween her knees becoming assmall as she possibly could. She instinctfully reached to her pocket for the communicator that the others insist she wear and ralized it was in the locker room and cursed under her breath. It came towards her and Ishtar leapt infront of her, seperating it from her. "Aquarius..." He grunted under his breath. "RUN!" Cora frooze. "Now is not the time Avaitor! You are not ready yet, run!" Cora felt that strange tingleing again. She really was Aquarius! Oh how she longed to put the Gemini Twins in their place. She felt it burning within her. She reached inside and grasped what was boiling within her. As the sun peaked over the horizan, she yelled with all she was, "Aquarius Power!" It raced from the air, from all that lived into her, fueling her pounding heart. As she was spun around in the air, her fuku, silver and violet appeared.knee high boots seemed to sprout from the tips of her toes just as the glooves raced from her finger tips to her forearms. "Microburst!!" She shrieked, the words existing somewhere inside, stored there for her retrieval. A storm enveloped them and beraited the winged creature, "Ice shield!" The microburst continued to release a deluge upon the creature while the creature was frozen its spot from ground up to the clouds that had gathered over it. "Aquarius.. I told you to run!" Ishtar snapped at her, sensing all was not right. Everything in his being was screaming with warning. "Ishtar.." She gasped, watching as the ice which encased the creature began to glow a color which could only be described as blood red. "Teleport!" Ishtar ordered leaping towards her. "Sailor Telepo..!" The ice, the creature, and a large portion of the zoo went up in flames. As the the wall of flames raced toward her she finished the command which launched her into space, but unknowingly into time and the dimensional gates. Their motion seemed to freeze, and than as quickly as they had been frozen, they were set free. Somewhere in Nerima, Present Ishtar collided with a weakened Aquarius, sending them both rolling to the ground. As she went down Aquarius struck her head on the pavement and lost consciousness. Her fuku disapeared and in its place, her uniform for the zoo was left loosly clinging to her trembling form. "Aquarius!" Ishtar roared, but she did not stir. Nuzzling her gently and licking her face he was suddenly stuck with the realization that she had awakened after so long, that she had unleashed the powers of the Zodiac.. that she wsa alive again. Looking up, realizing that they were on a black top, somewhere, he knew only one thing. Something had gone teribly wrong. This place was not Crystal Tokyo where her powers shoudl have sent them! He roared into the air..... atleast she wasn't in her fuku.
