Site of Employment: Black Mesa - Underground Science Labs and Military Technological Manufacturer, New Mexico, U.S.A. Job: Hazardous Materials Handling and Analysis. Other Features: Short mustache and small beard Skills: PhD in Theoretical Physics, Hazard Suit Operation, Small arms repair and operation, first aid administration, Dormant telekinetic abilities (unknown to Gordon) Background: After graduating from M.I.T. (Massachusetts Institute of Technology)with a PhD in Theoretical Physics, at the age of 21, he then went to work at the Black Mesa base in New Mexico. At first Black Mesa taught him on how to use small arms weapons for defense, and other company training courses designed to find the best suited job for his skills. After a month, went into hazardous materials handling and analysis, and was issued his own Hazard suit. Gordon has only been with the company for about 10 and a half months, and is already a well respected member, befriending almost all of the scientists there. His future with the company is bright and full of opportunity, yet he is ignorant of the fact that Black Mesa is actually a secret Umbrella base. However, within the past week he has started to suspect that Black Mesa was connected to a foreign company somewhere. But the exact company, he doesn't know yet.
