Ken's is 28 years old, 5'10" tall, and weighs 169 pounds. He has light, blond hair, tied back into a pony tail. He dresses in a red, sleeveless gi.
Background:
Ken is the heir to the Masters Corporation, one of the largest businesses in the world. When Ken was a child, his father noticed how spoiled he was becoming, and sent him off to Japan to learn Shotokan Karate under Master Gouken, a friend of his wife. Ken trained deep in the mountains in Japan along side Ryu. They became each other's best friend and greatest rival. After becoming a master of Shotokan, Ken made his debut in the proffesional combat world. Ken went on to become the champion of the All-American Karate Tournament. Ken later went on to join the Street Fighter circuit, the greatest fighting tournament in the world. It was here that Ken met Eliza.
Shortly after, Ken and Eliza were married, and had a son, Mel. Eliza didn't like the idea of Ken fighting, she was afraid he might be hurt, but she couldn't ask him to give up his passion. As a compromise, Ken promised only to participate in the Street Fighter tournament.
In the most recent tournament, Ken was shocked to learn that Ryu had not entered. Ken was both angry at the idea of missing out on a chance to finally beat his rival, and worried, for it was not like Ryu to miss out on the Street Fighter tournament. Ken suspects foul play.
Ken is, above all else, a showman. He believes it is not enough to simply beat your opponent, you must look good doing it, too. Ken has a flair for the dramatic, quite literally, as he learned to produce flames from his arms and legs, particularly in his Shouryuuken.
Basic Shotokan moves include:
Tatsumakisenpuukyaku or Hurricane Kick - Ken leaps forward with one leg extended, spinning to hit his opponent multiple times.
Hadoken - Ken thrusts both arms forward, wrists touching, palms facing out, and launches forth a blue fireball, this is pure energy, and not true fire.
Shouryuuken or Dragon Punch - The most powerful move in Shotokan Karate, this leaping uppercut hits with incredible force. Ken loves to add his flaming touch to this move.
His most powerful moves include:
Shippuujinrai Kyaku - A series of flaming kicks, followed by a rising Tatsumakisenpuukyaku.
Shinryuuken - A vertical uppercut, engulfed in a pillar of flame.
Shouryuureppa - Three consecutive flaming Shouryuuken's, Ken's trademark move.
Shinkuu Hadoken - This mega-sized Hadoken is rarely used by Ken, as he considers it Ryu's move, but he can perform it, however, should the need arise.
Sean
Name:
Sean
Anime:
Street Fighter 3
Physical Characteristics:
Sean is 18. He has short, brown hair and dresses in a yellow sleeveless gi.
Background:
Sean grew up in a shabby town in Brazil. His Japanese grandfather taught him Karate so he could defend himself. And a good thing, too, for Sean loved to fight. However, he soon felt that basic Karate was not enough for him. Then, one day, he saw the All-American Karate Tournament. Amazed by Ken's flamboyant style, Sean decided that he would learn Shotokan Karate. He scraped up enough money to buy a ticket to New York, only to have Ken turn him down flat. Sean, however, had come too far to take no for an answer, and has followed Ken, refusing to give up until Ken would agree to teach him.
Sean loves fighting, and tries to emulate his self-proclaimed sensei's showmanship. That aside, Sean is very polite and courteous, as his grandfather taught him. Don't let that fool you, though, if he wants something, he will get it, and when blows are exchanged, Sean will take his fair share.
Sean's fighting style is based on Karate, but Sean has done his best to emulate moves from Shotokan Karate, the basic moves he's created include:
Sean Tackle - Sean darts low quickly, and pulls his opponent's legs out from under him, leaving him at Sean's mercy.
Dragon Smash - Sean's take on the Shouryuuken, however, he can't quite match the force put into the Shouryuuken, so he adds another hit onto his, smashing his opponent back to the ground after knocking him into the air.
Tornado Kick - Sean created this version of the Tatsumakisenpuukyaku. As opposed to spinning, Sean launches himself forward with a series of mid-air kicks.
Ryubi Kyaku - Sean leaps into the air and puts his entire body into a leg slam.
Sean's more powerful moves include:
Hado Burst - A weaker version of Ryu's Shinkuu Hadoken. He cannot reach the full potential of this move until he learns the basic Hadoken
Shouryu Cannon - Sean's attempt at the Shouryuureppa. Two shouryuukens in a row, the first one setting up the opponent for massive damage from the second. Sean cannot produce flames like Ken, but it is an impressive move none the less.
Hyper Tornado - This move was inspired by Ken's Shippuujinrai Kyaku. It starts out with a low dash, like his tackle, but ends with a low shoulder bash. If this move connects, stopping the rest of the move is nearly impossible. Sean pummels his opponent with a series of precise kicks, lifts them into the air with a rising Tornado Kick, and sends them crashing back down with a Ryubi Kyaku.
