Brett was the dosile assistant mechanic on board the 'Nostromo'. He used to drive people crazy by this short answer to everything: 'Right'. He was, as Parker, unsatisfied with the payments, but he lets Parker do the talking.Even when the unknown parasite comes on board, he keeps his head on the right place. It almost seemed like he didn't care much about this 'thing'...
Not until he is faced with it! Brett is the first person to die by the tounge of the adult alien. Brett, Parker and Ripley is in one group that is send out to catch the runaway burster when they come upon Ripley's cat, Jones. When Parker and Ripley almost panics and kills the innocent cat, Brett let's it go. Parker and Ripley becomes irritated and sends Brett out to get the cat. Brett searches through several corridors and storage-rooms until he finds the cat. When he calls the cat, it suddenly stops it's movement towards Brett, hisses and backs off. Brett realized that there had to be something behind him, so he turns around and faces the alien. It kills him by shooting it's tounge through his head.
