Annalee Call is the mechanic on board the 'Betty', the freight ship. She is just recently being engaged to the crew, and some of the other crew members aren't that pleased over her precence. Most of the men are attrachted to the youthfull and doe-eyed Call.
But what they don't know is that Call has a mission. Her mission is to kill Ripley before they take the xenomorph embryo out of her, and thereby preventing the catastrophy that is bound to happen. She is too late, though, but offers to kill Ripley, but Ripley don't feel like dying yet.
Call has a secret. She is an second-gen android, an 'Auton', a android build by androids. This kind of android started to show their own will and most of them was destroyed. Only a few got out of the destruction camps in one piece. Those who did, burned their modems later, as a symbol that they were not just things to be played with, but real persons.
Call hacked into the USM (?) net just before the Autons burned their modems. There she learned about the cloning prodject, the hi-jackings and the crew of the 'Betty'. She decided to do something with this situation.When the other members of the crew discovers that Call really are an android, they all react negatively, except for Ripley, who don't find it too strange. Later, the crew accepts the fact that Call is not human and trusts her and relies on her.
Call and Ripley develops a strange kind of relationship. As non-humans they stick together, and there might be mother-daughter feelings in the picture.
