Dallas was the captain and boss onboard the 'Nostronomo'. He was a fair and calm man and had courage. He was concerned about his crew and might jeopardize his and the other crewmember´s lives to save just one of them.Dallas was attacked in a vent duct - the third junction - in an attempt of scaring the alien out of the airducts. The alien stalks him for a while before just jumping on him. The body of Dallas was never found but in the original screenplay he was found cocooned and alive.
