General Perez is the commander of the 'Auriga' and all of it's inhabitants. He is a man who is obsessed by money and fortune. He has found out that if he developed the perfect weapon (the alien), he could make lots of it. He really ain't allowed to grow aliens, since the public might think that it is a far too dangerous species to have around. But he has somehow managed to get a ship, a huge ship, scientists and army guys and to pay space-pirates. This is an indication that Perez really believes he would make big money on these aliens. He has put lot of investment in this project.Ripley is only a meat-byproduct in his eyes and a hazard. It wouldn't take him much to terminate her.
General Perez don't trust the crew of the 'Betty'. He don't want them to bring guns on board. He says that he wouldn't have any of Elgyn's men drunk and start shooting around in the ship, but...
To no avail.
