Ripley 8 is a clone of Lt. Ellen Ripley, who died whiping out the alien species known only as the 'xenomorph'. Ellen Ripley got infected by an alien foetus, a queen, not long before she committed suicide, just because that she didn't want to die giving birth to this nemesis of her life. Ripley 8 is not Ellen. Ripley 8 is partly human, partly alien.
Physice:

Psyce:
- "Psycotic" towards both humans and aliens
- Unstable
- Insecure
- On a search for identity
Ripley 8 was grown in a lab. She was born as an adult with the memory of who she were, but no clue of what she is. She learns quickly both language and stuff she needed to know.
- In the beginning she feels more like an alien than human. She obeys Dr. Wren like a pitbull would obey a trainer. Ripley 8 hates the people who grew her and all of their kind. The contact with her 'daughter' - the queen doesn't improve her feelings over her own species.
- When the aliens break free of their cages Ripley 8 is witness to some of the aliens trying to get into her cell. She knew that they would kill her if they got the chance and this fact confuses her. Why whould they want to kill one of their own? She now starts to doubt her alien 'spirit'.
- In the end Ellen Ripley's discust and hate for the aliens break through and she knows that she has to help blow up the 'Auriga' even if it means killing the queen. It is the combination of the alien's trap and that a facehugger don't recognize her as friend that Ripley 8 finds out that the aliens don't regard her as one of their own. The thing that killed her sympathy for the aliens, especially the queen, was the Newborn. She witnessess how human psycosis and alien physice is meltet together to a lethal being that kills her daughter. Even so, she feels sorry when she has to kill the Newborn to save Call.
