Just this other night, death called me
He said 'I heard you tried to reach me.
Sorry I wasn't home, hell you see
I wisited an old friend of mine called misery.'
He told me just to drop in
He said his house were at the street of the unforgiven sin
And then, today, I saw the street
I decided to drop by
With a joyful grin death did me greet
where the leaf black lied death with a sigh
showed me his face of agony
I saw the knife, the gun, my life
And I screamed of agony
'Cause death's pale face, it was my own
with a corona of blackdyed hair
And his eyes were just like mine
He said to me 'You are my hell,
my saint, my glory
And just for you I do exist
I am your mare, your fright,
your hate,
And just for me you do exist.'
I turned and run
And run and run
'Till my lungs came up for air
I was at my home, my good, safe home,
and I walked quietly in
But in the hall, death stood waiting
he said 'You are my only friend
and everywhere you do go,
I will gladly follow
Now death will wait at every corner
'Cause him I do not hate
My only friend, my only lover
I'll join his side someday
