Attacks:

Phoenix in the Nine Skies - A series of sword attacks using birds as models.

Rainy Day Swallow -- Vault into air with the sword after a run start and deliver a series of downward crescent slashes in a cris-cross manner.
Threading Sparrow -- The sword is the needle, aimed at the opponant's vital spots and 12 nerve points. There are 25 steps in all, which she'd readapted for spear as well.
Humming Bird's Dance -- The point of this one is to avoid contact as much as possible, turning the opponant's attacks back on him/herself.

Self-Created - She made these steps herself for the spear. Most can be adapted to sword.

Hundred Hissing Snakes -- This is like the spear version of the Hundred Hissing Snake Fist, except she's never learnt that set of the Anything Goes Martial Arts.
Wandering Cloud -- For every cut you see, there are three you didn't. This is a fast moving one that deflects the opponant's weapon(s) back while making cuts of its own, stirring up clouds of dust. The wounds sort of "explode" open after a while.

Personality:

Ever the optimist, Fuue has a cheerful disposition not unlike Kasumi's belief in the goodness of life and people in general. She is easily content, but finds it hard to stay in one place for long. The invulnerable pride of the youth is in her, that while equipped with the caution of good Martial Artists, lacks the good sense of those in touch with the realities of Death and Danger. Loyal, open, there is, however, a secretive depth to her that enjoys a personal space and holds strong objections to being probed at. Perhaps her world is not as dandy as she makes it out to others; but she's not about to trouble them with it.

History:

Once upon a time in China, someone with a sword went to Japan and taught some of his sword around and indirectly started a school, the Aoba Ryuu Sword Dance (Aoba School of Sword Dance).

The school was passed down through generations of the Aoba family, with an active history of violence and honour. The usual dueling between dojos, getting challenged, sticking up for waywrd students and all that. It didn't have a big name, but those who knew of it respected it well. Fast foward.

The most recent of the tribe is a woman, Fuue's mother. As a woman she was not allowed to practice the sword as part of the school even despite her immense talent. To prove her worth, she picked up a sword and bested the whole school and by winning won over the first diciple, the man who would be Fuue's father (although what a refined and educated lady would want with such a brash, stupid barbarian was anyone's guess), and lifted the taboo on women in the dojo. The man took his wife's family name of Aoba and became the master of the school.

They had a little girl, named Fuue, "Drawn by the Wind". To tradition, the name of a newborn is to be carved in a tablet and that will be his or her name. Unfortunately, Fuue's father was apt at making spelling mistakes, thus her name became Fue, "Flute". Thus why her proper name is written Aoba Fu(u)e and is affectionately called Fuu-chan. Later they also had a little boy, who was designated to be heir to the dojo.

Like her name, Fuue is as chaotic as the wind, but her heart is in the right place. She was an active, intelligent child that delighted in the simple beauty of the world around her and the grace of Martial Arts. The Aoba dojo and ancestral home is in Hokkaidou. However, she did live a short time in her childhood in Nerima where her parents took her with them on some kind of business. Here, she met Ryouga in pre-school as "Ryou-chan". At age 6 she was brought on her first official training trip and has loved these eversince, undampened by the bizarre accident where she fell in this little pool somewhere in China and came up as a sparrow. That was kindda fun, actually.

Education being compulsory in Japan up till Secondary school graduation, she went to school wherever and whenever she could. At one point she attended a secondary school with Ryouga and Ranma (the lunch-wars). Though a short time, forged a fairly good friendship cheering them on from the side and sharing her lunches with the loser.

Finally hitting 16, she stopped school all together and concentrated on travelling wherever the road takes her and honing her skills. This took her back to Nerima, back in the crazy lives of Ranma co., adding her own dash of chaos. Fast foward again...

For a while she stayed at the Hibiki residence, saw that Ryou-chan got home once a while and lived on instant noodles. Then one day, she just kind of disappeared; well, actually, she had to go home on some family emergency (to defend the Aoba dojo and get propositioned) and left a letter for Ryouga to let everyone know. But since Ryouga hasn't been home at all since her departure, nobody's heard anything. She did return for Kodachi's wedding, thinking the mess back home was settled, seeming a little subdued. But immediately after, went missing again.

She'd gone home, summoned to dojo politics (round two of previous emergency), returning fairly scarred to the sanctuary of the Nerima gang bustle, determined to pretend she'd never left. It isn't easy; especially since the past, to be cliched, has a nasty way of catching up.
