The Sphere and the Cube.

One day when the sun was shinning brightly down on the third dimension, that's between the second and fourth you can't miss it, a cube was sitting near a cylinder when a sphere came rolling by. The cube usually didn't associate with strange spheres, but she was looking for someone to talk to and the cylinder was asleep and starting to snore.

"Hello there." She smiled at the sphere, "Where are you off to?"

The sphere stopped and turned around.

"Off to the bakery, off to the bakery." He exclaimed in a lighthearted tone.

"Ah," she nodded, "For what?"

"Fresh bread, needs to be baked, fresh bread." He looked about eagerly.

"You work there then?" She grinned.

"Yes yes, fresh bread, yes yes." He replied proudly.

"May I come along?" She looked at him hopefully

His face turned red as he grinned, "Yes yes, you may, yes yes."

The cube got up and started off, trying to keep pace with the sphere.

"Fresh bread, cinnamon rolls, doughnuts, fresh bread." The sphere chanted to himself as he sped along.

"My," the cube puffed, "you sure are in a hurry."

"Yes yes, very late, yes yes."

"Oh dear, I hope I didn't make you late." The cube apologized.

"No no, late before you, yes yes."

"That's good, I'd hate to think I was slowing you up."

"No no, not at all, no no."

The cube and the sphere made it to the bakery and were met by a pyramid, the sphere's boss.

"Late you are. Why?" The pyramid said in a stern voice.

"Sorry, got up late, sorry sorry." The sphere looked at the ground.

"This is who?" The pyramid pointed to the cube angrily.

"Friend I just met, wanted to come, friend I just met." The sphere managed in a weak voice.

"Am I bothering you?" She said, surprised at the pyramid's tone.

"Bothering me you are," he growled, "leave you must!"

"Okay, I'll leave."

The cube turned to the sphere, "See you after work, okay?"

The sphere blushed, "Yes yes! Eight o' clock! Yes yes!"

The cube leaned in close and kissed the sphere goodbye.

"See you at eight then."
