After watching One Breath, the Blessing Way and E.B.E, I consulted with the Stupendous Yappi about the future of the X-Files, and his predictions raised quite a few eyebrows! It's so obvious I'm suprised I didn't realize it earlier: Scully and Frohike! After all the flowers, stolen medical charts, and drunken midnight visits, Scully finally realizes she is extremely attracted to Frohike. They get married and ask Skinner to be the best man, thus forcing him to admit his allegiance to Mulder and Scully. DS goes to work for the Lone Gunmen (forcing them to change the group's name to the Lone Gunpersons), writing a medical conspiracy column and licking envelopes in her spare time. Eventually, they have twins--a boy and a girl--and ask Mulder to be the godfather, which takes care of any remaining UST. The CSM, crippled by too many cigarettes becomes known as the Wheezing Iron Lung Man (WILM) and on his deathbed reveals he is not actually related to anybody, he just likes being a bloody nuisance. Mulder, still pursued by the government, still searching for Samantha, takes to the road on a Harley and is joined by Albert Hosteen who follows him around the country in a large Winebago. After a few years Scully and Frohike's son, Samuel, is abducted and CC debuts a new series called X-Files: The Next Generation, where they begin all over again...
